Love these two
Mood.
Did a little morning reading and finished this one. It was okay but I didn‘t really get into it? A quick and easy read.
Finished this one today and am still enjoying the story. Moving on to vol 3 this weekend. First finish of #20in4 and another bingo for #bookspinbingo - I‘m down to my last two squares, one more freebie and the final book from my list (which was a rollover from December). Also a #SeriesRead2021 installment. Look at me hashtagging it up! 🤣
4 stars
Loving me some Esther, Daisy, and Susan...
Loved how these ladies explored different relationships and were there for each other at the same time :)

I loved getting to know these characters more and more .. My fav is Esther
Starting this one :) Hoping work drags a bit so I can finish it (looking like it will probably happen)
My stack for this weekend's @24in48. I was trying to play it safe with picks because reading has been hard for me to focus on lately 😔. My non-fiction audiobook for book club will be a tough one to power through regardless the awesome subject... I'm not a huge fan so far (not pictured). (Continued in comments) #24in48readathon
These follow 3 friends- Susan, Esther and daisy - as they navigate college life. It‘s hilarious, it‘s wonderfully drawn. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“It‘s a 12-in-1 multi-tool, Daisy. That means it does twelve different things very badly.”
spent my evening yesterday catching up on work at the library since our dnd session got canceled 😑 started reading Giant Days through #hoopla and liked it so much I checked out the physical copies to keep reading. surprisingly funny comic about a group of dysfunctional college friends getting into mischief 👍
I enjoyed this as much as the first. I‘m a bit concerned that I have a crush on McGraw. Maybe it‘s the mustache....
Giant Days.
So worth reading. ❤️
I friggen ❤️ Esther.
#Booked2019 ☆ #GraphicNovel
Such a fun, fast read. Gotta love graphic novels for a quick change of pace. I love Giant Days' freespirited, girl power vibe. Perfect for Summer (or really any season).

I enjoyed Vol 2 over tea this morning, and it was another fun, light, 🍭 read. An excellent palate cleanser after my #ASOIAF marathon before moving on to my next book!

Another fun edition of this comic. I liked Vol. 1 more, as it was funnier and had me laughing out loud constantly, whereas with this one that wasn‘t the case, but I still had a good time with this and look forward to continuing the series.
So funny and I love how each girl is different then the typical college girl characters I‘ve read before.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
These are funny and dramatic. The timeline seems to be a bit jumpy though.
So good! Loved the Friday Night Lights references 😍🏈💙
Unexpected Friday Night Lights references are always a great find! 👌🏻 Coach Taylor would be proud, Daisy.
I seriously love this series! I definitely needed that. These books seem to hit me when I really need them most, and it‘s fantastic. The art and humor style are just right up my alley. Now excuse me while I blow a ridiculous amount of money on the rest of the series...
Not always easy to read with a toddler around. Luckily graphic novels are fairly quick, so small child interruptions aren‘t a bother!
#7in7readathon reading for the day: I finished Age of License, started and finished Giant Days vol. 2, and then started both Lovelace‘s book and French Milk. I read the first part of four in Lovelace‘s book and I‘m planning to read one part a day until the end of the readathon. I plan to finish French Milk tomorrow. So 3 down, 4 to go! 1 tomorrow, 2 Saturday during #reversereadathon, and finish Lovelace on Sunday. Totally doable!
I'm really liking this #graphicnovel series so far. Picked it up after seeing that @dariazeoli was reading them. It wasn't an official #recommend from her, but when I noticed she liked them I dove in. 😁
Light & funny, with an engaging cast of flawed characters. This #graphicnovel slice of life series about university life in England is like a palate cleanser between weightier books.
I like seeing the way different artists portray the same characters, as in the examples above with Esther and Daisy. In volume 2, chapters 5 & 6 are by Lissa Treiman (left) and 7 & 8 are by Max Sarin.
Not quite as good as the first, but still so good! Also, my husband is basically McGraw but a little shorter and with more gaming and computer nerdiness. But he does make me things out of wood when I'm feeling down or gone on vacation. 😆💗
#freecomicbookday haul at Destiny City Comics. I went in to get goodies for the kiddos, and then saw it was BOGO, so this happened 🤷🏻♀️
And pssst... that‘s a new Brian K Vaughan at the top ❤️
I felt this wasn't as good as the first, but loved it none the less! Although, I'm disappointed in the artist change in the middle of the book. It's not to say it's not a good art style, but I feel it takes some of the "personality" from the story/characters. I felt there were also a lot more laugh out loud moments with the first book, again, because the art style gave the words more depth.
None the less, will keep on reading these!
Just as much fun as the first! I am loving these characters so much and will have to continue this series! Hopefully they'll be back in when I make it to the library...but who am I kidding, I should totally get my own copies.
Wow! @hermyknee is doing another amazing giveaway and you need to go check it out!!! I‘m definitely shipping Susan and McGraw on Giant Days! They are so damn adorable and they HAVE to end up together. ❤️ #ishipit 💙#payitforward 💜 #giveaway
Thanks to @TricksyTails I've wasted several hours poking around Hoopla and reading comics. I'd forgotten how much I loved Giant Days... ❤
Oh Susan you are my spirit drawing lol she is easily becoming my favorite character.
Still don‘t LOVE the artwork, but I do really like it.
I think I liked volume 2 even better than volume 1 of Giant Days. The characters are sweet and the situations are (mostly) realistic. I can relate to the girls antics; they remind me of when I was in college (the first time). So glad I started this series.
I was gonna stay out of the Quality Street today, but I'm trapped inside because we're under an extreme cold warning and the only car I have access to won't start. So I feel justified in eating chocolate and reading comics.
Relatable and funny. Not my favorite series, but one I'm willing to return late to the library to finish! (59)
Spending my lunch hour with the Susan, Esther, and Daisy. I love them!
