I love a good “hate to love” romance and this was a really good one! It was funny, got me a little teary and had some steamy scenes. #romance #romantsy

Book 87. (Ebook) so I totally forgot that I read this until I was looking through my iBooks, it should have been about ten or so books earlier on the list, I may have gotten it free, can't recall. I read a few Ebooks all in a row, and most were free. Anyway! I really liked this! Enemies to lovers is one of my favourite tropes and it was perfectly executed here!

In this "Having the hots for best friend's older brother" romance, Aspen Phillips basically lands in a Diana Palmer novel, complete with contemptuous sex, a best friend who turns on her, and the billionaire who swaps out asshole behavior with a ton of cash. It's totally a thing. #romantsy #dianapalmer #motorcycle #fanfic

Well I can see why this book is getting a lot of praise. I love road trip romances filled with sexual tension. The hero was a perfect mix of angst and dirty talker. Very well done. #romantsy

I read this in one sitting and loved it. I liked that the writer took time for the two characters to get to know one another and I liked that there were real but not insurmountable reasons for them not to get together. The antiromatic in me would have been fine with Aspen closing the door on both relationships with Bram and Beth - I liked that she found a way out - but I get why she didn't and am glad that Bram learned better in the end.

I had so much fun reading this. It's about a sparky, tough heroine who keeps bumping into her BFF's older billionaire brother, an old-school alpha hiding his feelings behind his fabulous suits and mean comments--but wow, is he ever hiding a lot! This book even makes camping super sexy, and I'm the kind who shudders at the sight of a tent. Don't miss!! Thank you, @MarriedtoMrT ! #alpha #romance #newadult #contemporaryromance #romantsy

julesG Camping or glamping? 😁 8y
MarriedtoMrT @julesG Mostly glamping (well, lodge-staying) but they do some *actual* camping for a few days for an interesting reason. 8y
MarriedtoMrT I'm so glad you liked it! He is hiding a lot behind the suit. Maybe that's why he does the three piece with the vest. Extra layer needed to contain all the inner badass. 8y

EloisaJames @julesG there is a night in a tent... but mostly there's a Cinderella feel about it. 8y
Dragon Thanks can't resist, picked it up on sale at iBook store 😀 8y
EloisaJames @Dragon hope you love it! 8y
Danabasket Just one clicked 7y
EloisaJames @Dragon @Dogearedcopy @Danabasket Please tell me what you think! 7y
Dogearedcopy @EloisaJames I read it last night and was fully engaged w/the story, so much so that I was a bit stunned at how viciously Bram & Beth lashed out at Amber. It reminded me how the people closest to us wield a bizarrely implicit license & ability to wound us... With that in mind, that scene revealed to me the stakes involved in their relationship. Yes, there were plenty of words to *tell* me; but that was the scene that *showed* me. 7y
EloisaJames @Dogearedcopy I agree! It was such a powerful scene. I think it worked because both of them were really talking about their own relationship--and the class lines that structured their understanding of the world came into play. I have to say, I loved the fact that she got out of there as a response. 7y
MarriedtoMrT @EloisaJames @Dogearedcopy Late to the party but I loved that scene as well and that she got out and that she drew the line in sand. I loved that she could understand where they were coming from but also decide to take care of herself. And I was SO happy that Bram decided to go to therapy in the end. He wasn't just miraculously fixed by love but realized that he needed to work through his grief. 7y
JoannaShupe I loved this book, too! So unexpectedly fun!! 7y
EloisaJames @MarriedtoMrT I totally agree about the therapy! It's something I regret about writing historicals--without therapy and meds, there are experiences my main characters can never have, not because I'm Pollyanna-ish, but because I'm pessimistic. 7y

One of those wonderful moments of right book, right time. This well-written contemp was well-paced with a fabulously straightforward heroine and a great balance of humor and emotional baggage. This checked a lot of my boxes: ✅ road trip, ✅ recent college grad, ✅ hate-to-love, ✅ wealthy alpha businessman. I have my eye on Kati Wilde! #romantsy

EloisaJames Cool! Going to find it now! 8y
EloisaJames No sample reads! I bought it on your say-so. 😘😘 8y
MarriedtoMrT @EloisaJames I hope you like it! I saw in your Sabrina Bowen post that you were in the mood for conflict. This one will fit the bill, too. 8y
EloisaJames @MarriedtoMrT oh good! I enjoyed Sarina's book but there was literally nothing but hurt feelings keeping them apart. 8y
