This is 1st book in the series. It is a book about religious fanaticism and violence. Victor Standgard, a well known priest is murderer. His sister, Sanna, asks her friend, Rebecca Martinsson, to help her solve this murder. Rebecca, a tax attorney is forced to relive her past.
The book was a little slow-paced and not too exciting. I‘ll continue with the series as the books look like they get better. Just a rough start for this series, hopefully.

Andrew65 @EadieB Sounds like a good plan. I‘m constantly playing catch up this year. Finished the Joanna Linna Series and the Camilla Lackberg books, only read 3 of the Department Q books, and read none of the new series. Have enjoyed the Joona Linna and Camilla Lackberg Series but not the others. 4y

Butterfinger Everything was weak. Why did the dog have to die? Why were people more willing to kill children than to protect them from abuse? What was the actual financial fraud? Why does Sanna's family treat Rebecka so harshly? How was Rebecka responsible for dividing the family? 5y

Tove_Reads I liked that she had a weird profession, but then in the end it didn‘t really work out, maybe not because she was a tax lawyer, but in general. Also, dos are not allowed to die in books. 5y

Tove_Reads @eadieb I‘ll read Harry Hole books too, but from book number one. Will also read Larsson, Jungstedt and Viveca Sten. I highly recommend Börjlind and Schulman for those who have not read them. My suggestion is we would read Larsson and Edwardson as buddy reads. (edited) 5y

There are so many authors out there to choose from, but I‘m sure ppl can find their own favorites amongst these to read. 5y
