Nice Girls Don't Date Dead Men
Nice Girls Don't Date Dead Men | Molly Harper
12 posts | 24 read | 8 to read
Following Nice Girls Dont Have Fangs, the second in a hilarious, smart, sexy romantic series about an out-of-work librarian who is turned into a vampire. With her best friend Zebs Titanic-themed wedding looming ahead, new vampire Jane Jameson struggles to develop her budding relationship with her enigmatic sire, Gabriel. It seems unfair that shes expected to master undead dating while dealing with a groom heading for a nuptial nervous breakdown, his hostile werewolf in-laws, and the ugliest bridesmaid dress in the history of marriage. Meanwhile, the passing of Janes future step-grandpa puts Grandma Ruthie back on the market. Her new fianc, Wilbur, has his own history of suspiciously dead spouses, and he may or may not have died ten years ago. Half-Moon Hollows own Black Widow has finally met her match. Should Jane warn her grandmother of Wilburs marital habits or let things run their course? Will Jane always be an undead bridesmaid, never the undead bride? Combining Mary Janice Davidsons sass and the charm of Charlaine Harriss Sookie Stackhouse novels, this is an incredibly satisfying read for fans of paranormal romantic comedy.

So funny! This book captures what it would be like to live in redneck central as a vampire. Book 2 in the series about Jane Jameson an ex-librarian and recently turned vampire keep me in stitches. Love the way Jane's mind works and her snarky comments. 4.5⭐️

Obviously finding the free online background remover is dangerous to me, but I feel like the circling turkey vultures in the picture for my #vulture quote needed some jarred pimento cheese spread. (Not the real stuff because that would be a plus for me at a funeral…) 😉🤣

“There was no visitation, no pimento cheese, no irritating relatives circling like vultures. In other words, it was the best funeral I‘d ever been to.”

Molly Harpers books always fill me with happiness. Amanda Ronconi does an amazing job narrating and I wouldn‘t have it any other way. Fifth book for #AnyWayYouReadathon and third book for #ReadTheRomanceAThon

kimmypete1 @Eggbeater Nice! I like that series as well, but Jane Jameson/Half Moon Hollow books are my fave. 4y

#QuotsyJan20 #denial.

This one makes me smile.😁

I borrowed the artwork from online at E-book Obsessed which is cool because I found a Jane Jameson short story I hadn‘t read too.🤗 https://ebookobsessed.com/2012/12/nice-girls-dont-sign-a-lease-without-a-wedding...

TheSpineView I enjoyed the Jane Jameson series. Love the MCs snarky attitude. 5y
DebinHawaii @TheSpineView Me too! Snarky humor is my favorite! 😆 5y

#QuotsyJan20 #fiasco

I knew Molly Harper would have a few fiasco quotes to choose from in either the Jane Jameson or Half-Moon Hollow series, but Jane‘s ugly peach colored “hoop-skirted fiasco” of a bridesmaid‘s dress for Zeb & Jolene‘s wedding won the day. 😉🤣

I started off hating this. I was thinking the story wasn‘t for me and the narrator‘s voice was grating, but after a few minutes something just clicked for me. It got really funny, and I started to hear the MC in the narrator‘s voice and started enjoying it. It ended up being a fabulous, ridiculous, crazy family rom com with vampires, werewolves, and ghosts. #scarathlon #teamstoker @TheReadingMermaid

Jane finds herself in the mist of helping her best friend plan his wedding, figuring out the location of her dark mysterious beau, fending off Mama Ginger's suggestions, and finding her solstice in an occult book store. Maybe she should tell her grandma about the suspicion she had of her grandma's new love, or maybe just let things play out in their own and allow her to become another victim.

I loved this installment of this series!

I am doing some audio book cleaning today. I love listening to a fluff kind of book while cleaning. This one is humorous. My husband looked at me funny when I laughed out loud. He doesn't get it!🤣

DarcysMom I love Molly Harper and Amanda Ronconi is one of my favorite narrators. 😍 6y

#FunFridayPhoto These books make me snort laugh! Molly Harper is an absolute favorite author for me and her Jane Jameson books were my gateway drug to a little town called Half Moon Hollow and it's delightfully awkward residents!

Also, making his Litsy debut - one of my favorite bookshelf dwellers, my plushy zombie, named Goo! Nothing to do with the books - he just makes me smile💚

DiruVamp Love your zombie friend he's adorable - in a creepy eat your brain kind of way 😜 8y
the.bookish.valkyrie @DiruVamp thanks! I think so too. His usual bookish companions are the Anita Blake series and a stuffed penguin named Sigmund. If you know the series, it makes sense. 8y
DebinHawaii Great pick! Definite snort-laugh material! 😀👍 8y
