I'm back! Sorry for being MIA for the last few days. I was with my sister doing my big sister/doula thing as she welcome her baby to the world! I am so beyond excited that my sweet little nephew is finally here!!!

While I was out of the house for few days several deliveries I've been waiting for arrived and I'm excited to start showing off some of my #bookmail 📚

The Grimm telling of Snow White. Great fairytale story with a horrific ending. Camille Rose Garcia's art is wonderful!

#booklove17 #challengeday #StarWarsVsSnowWhite I think Star Wars & Snow White have a lot in common, Leia is Snow, trying to survive, the witch is the empire, out to kill anyone opposed, Vader is the Huntsman, unable to kill for love, the Jedi are the dwarves, sworn to protect & the force is the Magic, able to be used for good or ill depending on the wielder. And the apple is the base plans, the thing that has Leia needing rescue.

I was just reminiscing and found I did not post about this last year when I fell in love with it. Such a fun #fairytaleretelling! It is chock-full of art - full page spreads of colorful and creepy illustration just like the cover above (so if that style does not appeal, you won't like it!). I couldn't resist showing the art on the hardcover too - it sometimes pays to peek under the dustjacket 😁
