Jace got very excited for story time today. I like this series that teaches kids about famous landmarks while also teaching something fundamental like numbers, colors etc. 4⭐️

San Francisco and Vancouver are #sofaraway from here (Yorkshire, England) and are the furthest places I‘ve been....
San Francisco (5,186 miles) is quite a bit further than Vancouver (4,533 miles), which surprised me a bit!
It‘s long time since I‘ve been to either but I still keep all of the guide books as a memento, particularly as my honeymoon was in Vancouver.
#offtopic Dear California Littens, this summer we‘ll be travelling through the US for a month. Our first destination will be San Francisco. I would love to know what places to see or avoid in the city, where to eat, sleep etc. I try to avoid the typical tourists traps.
If you have inside information and recommendations I‘d love to hear from you! Thanks so much! ❤️
Bandette was trying to sneak into my suitcase today!#SanFrancisco #Sourdough
I've been in the Bay Area this week for work so I haven't had much time to read. Stayed a few extra days to explore SF since it's my first time 😍
A book haul from an old book store (literally!) going out of business. Just happened to see the "Open" sign on my way to Powell's, ran in, picked these off the shelf, and wished the owner a happy retirement!
Day three in California found me exploring San Francisco. What a city! Discovered Alley Cat Books in the Mission district, and what a find it was! Cool art gallery at the back of the store, and displays to entice readers and non-readers alike. (Also found one of the best yarn shops I‘ve ever entered, in the Castro district.) My best friend, born and raised in SF, was my chauffeur and tour guide! #indiebookstore
#SingASong: 🎶When the lights go down in the city and the sun shines on the Bayyyyyyy🎶
Heading to one of my favorite cities tonight to watch my favorite comedienne and explore Chinatown. Reminiscing about this most beautiful summer day in San Francisco ♥️

Got our walk in this morning. Happy Sunday! Now, hair appointment which means READING TIME!
Afternoon hike today 💕. Getting our Christmas tree and then some evening reading!

1. Last vacation was to the Bay Area. Love San Francisco (I took a cut out of my cat so she could travel with me. I'm a dork.)
2. Comfort meal is Mac 'n Cheese
3. Bucket list for travel is back to Croatia 🇭🇷
4. I'm in between books
5. Physical book.
My husband has been working in San Fransisco for the last week and a bit (which is a long way from the south east corner of Australia where we live). The kids requested more Lego, I always request bookmarks. He got me two gorgeous Art Deco inspired ones plus this retro poster. I love them!!
Today's independentseveryday pick is San Francisco's Book Passage - because SF has so many great bookstores, but this one is in the Ferry Building, my favorite place in the city. Browse books, buy books, then hit up Cowgirl Creamery for cheese, plus Boccalone for meats. Ahhhh. #bookstore #bookstorelove #bookstagram #authorsofinstagram #ferrybuilding #sanfrancisco #getindie
Currently reading: Kids Are Weird (And Other Observations from Parenthood). AND bought Noah a counting book. Thanks to this lovely gem.
