Cute cozy mystery based on the idea of Marley being murdered rather than dying. The setting is a small resort town post 2008 so lots of people are in danger of losing their homes and have motives for murder. I really liked the setting but the book needed a few more red herrings. I didn‘t really care for this book. I got impatient with the political agenda — I believe it‘s possible to get a point across without being so obvious. The main character also did so many stupid things that I found it difficult to relate to her.

Along with my #Netgalley reads and other books left over from November, I hope to get to these Christmas-themed books as well. (The last one is for one of my IRL book clubs, so I should probably put it first. 😄) #wanttoreadindecember #seasonsreadings2016
