We're going to the Lake District for a few days'much needed break, hence obligatory photo of a host of golden daffodils, taken at Sizergh Castle.
Listening to The Beatles Love album as we drive to Ambledide, and I'm already feeling less stressed 🌾😌🌾
"Dreams, books, are each a world; and books, we know, Are a substantial world, both pure and good: Round these, with tendrils strong as flesh and blood, Our pastime and our happiness will grow." --- Poems of William Wordsworth ---. ✒️
Anyone else “attending” the #HayDigitalFestival? Wonderful event yesterday evening, A Night In With The Wordsworths, with various celebs, including Vanessa Redgrave, Margaret Atwood, Tom Hollander, Benedict Cumberbatch, Monty Don (more usually known as a gardener!) and the wonderful Jonathan Pryce, reading William‘s poems and extracts from his sister Dorothy‘s diaries.
“... And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.”-William Wordsworth
My first contribution to the tag #BloomingLitsy 💛 I was thrilled to see it come across my feed. My gardening and flower loving heart enjoys seeing everyone‘s blooms. In a tumultuous world, I‘ve been finding comfort in Nature‘s constancy.
Wordsworth is probably@one of the best known British #landscape poets. Everyone knows Daffodils so I thought I‘d go with this one written at Grasmere in the Lake District.

This was my biggest treasure of the day - a copy of wordsworth poems from 1872! 😄💞📚
@GypsyKat #GypsyKatsBirthdayWeek. I'm March 31st early spring. I like I Wandered Lonely As A Cloud #seasonofyourbirth. Meanwhile, back to August, and continuing birthday wishes 🎉🎉🎉
I'm learning how to hand letter! It's so relaxing-- and I can do it while I listen to audiobooks! I'm enjoying it so much, and I'd like to start practicing with slightly higher stakes. Does anyone have any favorite quotes they'd like to have lettered? I'd be happy to send you the result, if you like it!
