Humorous story about an exasperated latke, written in a way only Snicket can 😄

Saw this looking for a #scream for #scarathlondailyprompts and I couldn‘t resist. I‘m intrigued.

This is the perfect book for anyone of any age who is exhausted from having to explain that Hanukkah is an entirely separate tradition from Christmas and isn't just "Jewish Christmas." Genuinely funny, especially if you enjoy the Lemony Snicket brand of humour. Also educational for those coming from a place of limited familiarity with Hanukkah origins and traditions. A fun read all around, and one I would recommend.
Home from the big family Hannukah party, read this irreverent book to my nieces and now it's time for bed! 🕎
Funny and clever. Cracked me and my kids up with the poor latke being mistaken for hash browns and having to explain that Santa has nothing to do with Hanukkah.
I'm trying to read at least 6 Christmas books this month, and this is book number 3. 😊 I'm loving it so far! #christmasread #christmasbook

My favorite of all our #christmassyreads is actually a Hanukkah book. In our household, audience participation (i.e., screaming with the latke) is a big part of the fun of this book. (On a totally different note, my real tree looks so fake in this picture that I am now reconsidering my longstanding opposition to artificial Christmas trees.)

I read this one every year. It's great fun and it's not often one sees a story revolving around a latke. As soon as I read it I start looking forward to Chanukah and the huge pile of latkes I'll be consuming.
