The Profiteers shows how the company Bechtel has lived and thrived off US government contracts all while rotating its staff into high government office, setting up a huge conflict of interest and siphoning tax payer money into its coffers, all (semi-)legally. Good book but this makes me deeply disappointed (but not surprised) in my country.

Sorry I‘ve been MIA, today was my birthday so I decided to post this because it‘s the end of my first full week of field work with my archaeology job. Haven‘t had very good service here but trying to post this before I lose internet! Haven‘t gotten much reading done because I‘m so tired after work.

#Aprella I had high hopes for this one but by the time I got to the midway point, I lost interest. It‘s a fascinating story of #AmericanMoney with parts luck, smarts, greed, timing, manipulation & corruption. Maybe I‘ll get back to it #oneday 🤷‍♀️

I‘m trying to read this #BOTM backlist selection for #nonfictionNovember, but I‘m getting really bored. Maybe I should stick to having my #nonfiction as #audiobooks and fiction paper books.

Some #SundayMorningReading I'm using this book for my #ReadHarder NF about technology and it's absolutely fascinating 👍🏻
