Decided to pick up the next Ilona Andrew‘s book since @wanderinglynn had one of the last books on her #auldlangspine list! I want to read the rest of the series before I pick up that one!

This one had so much going on! And it‘s been a while since I read the last book. A machine was built that destroys magic and anything with magic in it. So all the supernaturals need to race to find the device before it goes off and everyone dies.

I couldn‘t get the ending of the last one out of my head, it was just perfect.
Kate & Curran are at a stable point in their relationship, until Kate starts over thinking. A group of fanatics have a device that can devastate the magical population of Atlanta.

Some parts went on longer than needed. But, it was a great installment.

#doublebookspin #bookspinbingo. A re-read so of course 5 stars. After The Discovery of Witches series this is the next favorite! So steadily re-reading them. This happened to also be my double spin so yay me!!

Ihave just started reading this series by this author, (which is a couple going by one name) I absolutely love the world they have created. A world of witches, necromancer, were beasts, vampires, & humans, a world where magic comes in waves & electronics no longer works. Kate Daniels is witty, strong, independent & vulnerable. I find myself laughing out loud at the banter between characters and biting my nails at the fights for survival

Gah, this one tears me up a bit! The horrible decisions Kate has to potentially make... yikes.

You know, I'd totally forgotten the plot of this one (though a lot of it came back to me as soon as I got to the scene in the forest). Tearing through it, 'cause my wife's started reading the first book fiiiinally, so I've got to make sure I keep ahead, ahaha.

I discovered my library has the Kate Daniels books in ebook form, so I downloaded them all. Finally going to finish the series!

Ooof. Off this book goes. Atlanta can never catch a break, but at least they have Kate and Curran.

It‘s Kate Freaking Daniels and Curran! What else do I need to say? Read the series!!

Continuing the series reread, and I don‘t remember most of this book from the first time through.

Bad things are brewing in Atlanta (as usual) and Kate‘s new investigation agency is caught in the middle. An anti-magic secret society hell-bent on reclaiming the world, a missing engineering and magic theory genius, and more, all in Kate‘s lap. All while dealing with Erra‘s lingering influence.

Book haul!! The first five the Kate Daniels books by Ilona Andrews, and the first four of the Guild Hunters series by Nalini Singh.

The covers of these books are just not fun as an ebook. In other news, this series continues to be awesome as a weapon capable of destroying magic is going to be unleashed in Atlanta by a radical group of anti magic zealots. Kate must learn more about her powers to save a friend, and alliances are forged with the witch population as Kate finds out more about her mother's past. On to the next book!

Back into this series - forgot how amazing this Urban Fantasy series was!! Now up to a book I haven't gotten to yet. 💗 Curran!!

Book 5 in the Kate Daniels series keeps the pressure up high, introduces new characters and challenges and adds to the overarching plot. A cracking read, but as with previous books, best to read as part of the series rather than as a standalone.

So glad I've discovered this husband/wife writing team and their Kate Daniels series! These books just keep getting better as they go along....always fresh new storylines, you never feel that they're re-hashing old stuff. Love this heroine....strong, sassy but with a heart of gold. And her hero Curran, well he's the perfect mate for her! 😉 Highly recommend the entire series so far, and I've just begun #6, Magic Rises.

Am currently hooked on this series! This is #5. Love how this husband/wife writing team build worlds and characters! Wonderfully entertaining (and at times, very humorous) books....highly recommend.

These continue to get better and better. I love this series even if it rips my heart out sometimes.

Not a work of a literary genius but very entertaining. The writing is good and the story line is great. All I want to do is read this series!
