SUPER cute and lovely MM themepark romance
I have mixed feelings about this book. As a romance, it's better than a So-so, but this romance promised me War of the Roses style politics and it under delivered on that aspect. There were many things I liked about this book: the writing and characters are lovely and the regular-girl-becomes-princess aspect was delicious. But I'm disappointed in are the lack of any real setting detail on the York/Lancaster conflict that's meant to so important
Book haul!! The first five the Kate Daniels books by Ilona Andrews, and the first four of the Guild Hunters series by Nalini Singh.
An old fashioned convoluted murder mystery! Like your murder mysteries complicated, unlikely and deliciously delivered? Look no further.
The first one in this series, The Perfect Rake, was wonderful so I was hoping this would be just as good as. There wasn't a lot of convincing conflict, the Hungarian side character was a horrifying mishmash of assorted Eastern European stereotypes (none of them actually Hungarian) which grated me as an actual Hungarian, but it was the scenes of pretty dubious consent in the secondary romance that really put me off.
An entertaining enough read, but with some questionable behavior on the part of the hero. I work in IT in real life so some parts where the author didn‘t really know how software companies work were jarring to me - but are probably fine for everyone else. Fine as a hot read about no strings sex that turns into love. Less good as a discourse in safety in the age of Tinder.
Finding Ilona Andrews hard to fault. I hope she writes more in this series because I feel like there's more to tell in the world.
Laugh out loud funny, hot and sweet. A delicious un-put-downable romp.
Ilona Andrews is one of my favorite author discoveries this year. This installment in the Innkeeper series is even better than the first - it's a fast, fun yet nevertheless emotionally engaging fantasy jaunt. Loveable characters, twisty plot and the space-fantasy never gets annoyingly bogged down in details. I loved it.
Hello Litsy!! For the first time in a long time, most of the people I'm interacting on a social media platform are strangers so I thought I would introduce myself. I'm Anna, I live in New Zealand, I work in IT, I make costumes, I write role playing games, and I read :-) I read a lot of romance, mysteries, paranormal, literary, and anything else that catches my eye. I also collect vintage (pre-1960s) romance novels. Pleased to meet you all!
Super sweet graphic novel with beautiful art. Good for kids and adults alike.
Amazing and confrontational feminist comic
A thoroughly and detailed crafted piece of literature but maybe it was the wrong book for me right now - the sadness and lack of fulfillment from everyone in the story was painful. There was a time, when I was immersed in academia, that this might have sung to me, but ten years on from that, it's like a memory of a bad dream.
A breathlessly fast and highly emotional paranormal teenage romp. Good, lighthearted fun with am engaging ghost mystery plot.
Hey Litsy friends! Watcha reading right now, and what's next on your To Read list?
So happy about my library haul!! Can I read them all at once?? ❤ #amreading #libraryhaul
Sweet but felt unfinished and unresolved. Ended rather abruptly.
Amazing book! So lived up to the hype
