Just started it... Already loving it.
I'm a sucker for an artsy cover.
All the stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ So amazingly written.
Murphy is feeling a little neglected, but I can't bring myself to put this book down!!!
Books and wine are all that matters. I loved this short story collection!
So much coolness.
I've stocked up on tissues and convinced myself I'm ready... 😬
I really enjoyed Kephart's voice in this novel. She had some really beautiful sentences that were borderline poetic. I did feel like there were some deeper themes that I wish she would have explored a bit more, but all in all I truly enjoyed this book. I would definitely recommend it!
There's something so exciting about starting a book you know absolutely nothing about. 🤓
I went into this collection really wanting to love it. Although the majority of the stories weren't really in my wheelhouse, the ones I liked have really stuck with me. I'm definitely eager to find out what Miéville can do with a full novel. Any suggestions on which of his I should try next?
"What is a fur trapper?" Murphy asked concernedly.
Relationship goals... Also, more quick-witted, bookish, female role models would be nice. 📖💃🏻📖
This book thematically and stylistically made me think of Kafka's "The Trial". It was a little slow to start for me, but the last quarter of it was really captivating. Definitely makes you think about the meaning and importance of privacy, and how easily it can be compromised.
The nature of social interaction today, the way we are so exposed to the possibilities and variations of life, has the effect of making our own existence seem so much more finite.
K is for Kate who was struck by an axe.

Lawson's hilariously edgy with just the right amount of morbid. As someone who struggles with anxiety, I appreciate the way she puts words to feelings I didn't know how to voice. Sometimes you just need assurance that "no, you are not the only one", and for me, this book was that assurance.
"It's always possible to wake someone from sleep, but no amount of noise will wake someone who is pretending to be asleep."
"We have remade the social landscape without understanding the ramifications of this remodeling."
