I only managed to finish 2 books in the month of January, but I enjoyed both of them. These are both the most recent installments in series, so it was kind of bittersweet not to be able to pick up the next one.

New in! Our free book order from FirstBook! So excited to get these on the shelves! #diversebooks #librarylife
I just found this page in my Kindle app. I had no idea it had this feature. I really have been making an effort over the last year to make time for reading and it shows!
1. The 90s for nostalgia reasons.
2. Depends on the situation and the title. Some titles are very good in audio. I read most frequently in ebook though.
3. Younger, 28.
4. Barely. Currently reside 118 miles from the hospital I was born in.
5. Not sure what I‘m supposed to do here. I‘m out of practice on Litsy.

This is an interesting little paragraph concerning the origins of The Pledge of Allegiance. I had no idea that it was a result of the World‘s Columbian Exposition. This book is thorough but not boring. It has been a pleasure to read so far. Just hope I can speed through the second half before tomorrow‘s book club meeting!
This was chosen for my book club for August. I had already picked up this paperback copy on sale several months ago, so I‘m actually prepared!
This is a re-read for me, but my book club picked it for our next meeting. It‘s been a while though, and I was a teenager when I read it. I‘m curious to see how I feel about it as an adult.
Just finished this three hours ahead of my book club meeting. The book surprised me from the start. It was not the story I was expecting when I picked it up. And what an ending, finding out Aunt Flo killed him. I have met Joshilyn before at a conference and have been meaning to pick up something by her for ages. I will definitely read anything else by her, because this was a great read.
The house was an altar with ten thousand attendants, big, small, servicing, attending, in choirs. But the gods had gone away, and the ritual of the religion continued senselessly, uselessly.

This sign reminded me of one of my favorite reads. I love to laugh out loud about grammar and punctuation.
I really liked this little picture book. I was very afraid of the dark as a child, so I identified. Also, love Klassen as an illustrator.

“Who in the world am I? Ah, that‘s the great puzzle.”
I‘ve forgotten what character says this line though. But it is very Wonderland.

These are a few I‘ve been meaning to get to. #noteworthynovember #novtbr #novembertbr
“I could just remember how my father used to say that the reason for living was to get ready to stay dead a long time.”

Got this adorable sweatshirt from a fundraiser at my local public library! I love it!
A YA novel about the Donner Party. I‘m intrigued. 🤔
Finally started this and love it so far! Reimagined fairy tales are SO in my wheelhouse!
Season 3 of Outlander is looking pretty good. I wonder if they‘ll make it all the way through Voyager this season.
So this book, In Search of the Wild Asparagus, followed me to my new job. I just weeded it at FCML about 6 months ago. It was apparently very popular when it was published in 1983. #librarylife #awfullibrarybooks #weeding
I decided to show my face at the library again after I returned a copy of Lumberjanes that was two months overdue. #librarybookhaul
Finally getting around to this volume of Lumberjanes! It is very overdue 😰
Processing some new books from Junior Library Guild at my new library! I can't believe I'm a high school librarian!
I think it's about time I read this. It's been on my TBR list forever, but I've been seeing it so much lately I decided to bump it up to the top.
Doing some reading for my Saturday shift at the library. Which is the only shift I get to read at work!
Brushing up on my fancy vocabulary for the library's Fancy Nancy Tea Party this weekend!
This quote just really resonated with me. Maybe because PMS makes me feel the same way.
This book was donated to our library. Seems like a good way to catch up on Marvel lore without slogging through old issues on Marvel Unlimited.
This month's book club pick. Got to speed read through the weekend for the meeting Monday. So far very interesting!
At my library this week the staff decided we'd do some #subversivestaffpicks this week to quietly comment on the current political climate.
My year in books! Been better on this front than the rest of the year.
Just got my new Kindle Oasis! So excited to have an e-reader again. I was devastated when my Paperwhite bit it after three wonderful years together.
This came in at my library this week and the jacket copy was very intriguing.
One of my favorite series in middle school. Got this copy after we weeded at my library and I brought it home for my own shelf! Also a Newbery winner in 1969.
Thanks to my library for purchasing my request! Been waiting for this one!
Fell deep into an internet hole reading about cults after I finished this at 1 in the morning. I just couldn't get enough.
After reading Heartless by Marissa Meyer, I've decided to revisit Mr. Carrol's Wonderland.
Kinda slow to start, but starting to get good.
Next in line! I have been reading this book forever. It keeps expiring on me. I should probably just buy it already.
Found out my Patronus!!!
