I loved loved loved this book! I don't think I have encountered s book that has such a crazy mix of feel-good and messed up. This book is intense! There are 3 main storylines and that can be hit or miss with me but Jaworowski pulls it off well. I was invested in all the storylines . It was listed as a thriller and while it does have thriller elements I would say it's more of a book about the thin line that holds back chaos.

#BFC28 week 3 check-in. This week I realized that I need to focus on one habit and go bigger on it. So I walked just over 19 miles this week. I did 2 of my workouts. I dropped the smoothies because that obviously wasn't something I wanted to do right now. I listened to 7 books. Walking has been a good habit to develop.

#nonfiction2020 I used the tagged book for #somethingaboutacandidate and for #somethingaboutdrugaddiction I used Kitchen Confidential - which I know is mostly about behind the scenes cooking, but there was a lot of drugs!

Here's my check-in for #BFC28 week 2. I am struggling with everything except books. I only did 3 of 5 workouts. Only 1 of 7 smoothies. I didn't run, but I did walk 6.5 miles. I think I will change my goal of running 2 miles to walking at least a mile a day. I did get through 8 books though! I am escaping into books big time!

Wow! This book reads like a horrifying thriller. I CANNOT believe that we allow nuclear power. The consequences of things going wrong are just too terrible!

I finished my first book for #BFC28. I started a few days late but I really need some structure and motivation as being home from my class has been really depressing. I did my crossfit at-home workouts 2 days in a row now and had my green smoothie today. Thanks @wanderinglynn ! The tagged book was wonderful, though it did deal with the influenza epidemic, so that was a bit surreal

I loved the blend of myth and history in this book and I thought the writing was beautiful.

Things that make you go hmmmm? Goodreads decided to recommend Pet Sematary because I enjoyed Lie With Me? Often their recs are fairly good - but what on Earth would link Lie With Me (a coming of age/reflection story about being gay in the late 80s in France) and Pet Semetary?

I know many people don't like the lack of plot, but I ADORED this book. I was hovering on the edge of tears for much of it. The writing was stunning, heartbreaking, exquisite, lyrical...
I was torn between wanting to devour the book and savor it. This time I chose devour, but I will reread for sure so I can savor it more. The audio is read by the author and I highly recommend. However, I am going to buy the print book as well. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I didn't do quite as well as I wanted to with workouts this week so I will head into next week with more energy!
