The Wolves Are Waiting | Natasha Friend

This is my current read. I remember reading and loving a few of Natasha Friend's books back in middle and high school and I haven't seen anything by the author until recently. This is a great book! It does discuss sexual assault so I would exercise caution if that's a trigger for you. Well-written and relevant!

If I could rate this book a million stars, I would. Loved every minute of it. Magical and romantic. The romantic vibes reminded me a bit of Twilight, but this was much more intellectual than Twilight. Very heavy in history and science. Can't wait to read the next ones!

I'm only 50 pages in and I am in love. So well written and such a poignant story about Evanna's struggle with disordered eating. She warns readers that it may be triggering for some. Beautifully written memoir!

This series is quite popular, and it is definitely well-written. However, I was not the biggest fan of the first in the series. After reading the synopsis of the second, I've decided to give it a try but for some reason some aspects of the plot were confusing to me and I didn't like some parts of it.

This is the first book in a trilogy and I read it for the first time in 2014. Just did a re-read of the first one and it was fantastic! Can't wait to dive into the last 2. It's delightfully witchy and full of magic, a perfect October read.

This is a re-read for me. I read it for the first time a few years ago and thought it was funny and heartfelt. It has funny stories of Amy's upbringing and career as well as heartfelt but still amusing life advice.

This trilogy is great! This is the second in the trilogy and it's a reread for me. A paranormal romance, this trilogy is unique, interesting, and action-packed. A must-read if you like books about necromancers!

I wasn't sure if I would like this one. It centers on video games and creating video games and since I'm not really interested in video games, I didn't know if I would enjoy the book. But I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. It's an unconventional love story and I appreciated the book's depiction of a young man with a physical disability.

This was so good!!! Sad in parts but has a happy ending. Was it cliché? Maybe a bit, but I couldn't get enough!

I didn't finish this one. It was just taking me a long time to get into the story. I was 190 pages in and still wasn't invested in the story. The premise is great and the writing is great, I just couldn't get interested.

This was so good! I'm not particularly interested in reading about celebrity lives but a fictional one did just fine and I loved reading about her life. I did not expect that ending!

I'm not even done with this book yet and I'm going to review it because I love it. Such an eye-opener. I know anti-fat bias is prevalent in society but this book shed so much light on things I didn't know. This will stick with me for a while!

This was a great intro to feminism and covered several pertinent topics. I consider myself a feminist and love reading about it. That being said, it was short and basically just an intro to the topic. Still good though!

I really liked this one! A cute fantasy about a trio of young witches who must complete a challenge if they want to keep their powers. Great story about friendship, fairness and kindness, and determination.

I gave this 3 stars. I didn't appreciate how often the point of view would change between characters. It was a little confusing. It wasn't terrible but not something I would re-read.

I can't put into words the way I feel about this book. It was incredible. The messages of self-acceptance, love and acceptance of others, and family, are near and dear to my heart. This book encompasses everything I love about books and about life and I can't say enough good things about it. It made me cry at the end, but I think the best books are ones that make me cry. This will stay with me for a long time.

Elizabeth2 My favorite book of 2021. ❤️ I have gifted it several times since I read it. Love love love! 3y

The second one was very good! We meet Bee's grandma in this one and get to know more about all 4 girls and their family dynamics. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

I enjoyed this a lot but felt it was maybe a bit overhyped. The ending bothered me because it wasn't a nice, tied-up ending. Sometimes I'm okay with that kind of ending and sometimes I'm not. In this case, I yearned for something different. More sad than I anticipated.

It's my first time in years reading a book on a device. I had a nook ten years ago but I just didn't like using it. It didn't feel right. But I have too many books now so I got this Kindle Paperwhite. It's not bad! Also, I am almost done with this book. It's a bit slow-moving but very good.
