Pickpick

This was a great intro to feminism and covered several pertinent topics. I consider myself a feminist and love reading about it. That being said, it was short and basically just an intro to the topic. Still good though!

This is a YA book and great for an intro into what feminism is. I'd love if my daughter read it and I intend to recommend this book to my aunt so she can read it with my cousin! Intersectionality is a theme throughout the last half of the book, but unfortunately the author leaves out the disabled community with the exception of a quarter-page blurb and picture. Also, I don't recommend reading this with Overdrive... ⬇️⬇️⬇️

WorldsOkayestStepMom Because of the way the publisher set up the book, there is no way to change font size or anything. I had to squint my way through reading the book. I have health issues that lend themselves to sensitivities to light and I was unable to change the background color to my preferred black field of white text. 4y

This was okay as an introduction to feminism, but it was too brief in its information to be among the best of intro books, and the book definitely has an ableist slant when it deigns to mention disabled people at all.

The Metro was insane so we got an uber to the Memorial Bridge and walked over to DC. It's a great walk, and how often do you get the opportunity to walk down the road on the bridge? So cool! #womensmarch

Omg we stopped in Chicago on our road trip and went to Women and Children First. It's a feminist bookstore and I have never wanted to buy an entire bookstore more in my whole life 😍😍😍 #getindie #literarytourism

Also this is maybe the first place I've ever been where I've had to wait to browse the women's studies section because it was crowded and I wish I had that problem all the time 👩🏻‍🎓👩🏼‍💼👩🏽‍⚖️👩🏾‍🏫👩🏿‍⚕️
