Riveted_Reader_Melissa @jessinikkip I was thinking about you the other day and how sick you were last month, maybe you had it already. 🤞. But yes, I completely understand, there is no way to know since they aren‘t testing a lot....and I still haven‘t heard a clear answer on how long it survives on surfaces. If I seal up my book, then let it sit for a week, is it safe then, but then I guess you still have the mailman, sorters, etc handling it before it gets to you? 5y

jessinikkip @Riveted_Reader_Melissa I dont know, the test came back positive for regular flu. They said flu B which is supposed to be the MILDEST, but that goes to show how sick I can get from even a mild little thing. We stocked up on food today. 5y

I had to drop from #litsylove because I've been overwhelmed with life, & I still got a letter from her, even when she couldn't find my address on the lists (for now!) I had a real hard time with this book. couldn't stand the female MC and was iffy on the male MC. I found Katie to be obnoxious, vicious, disrespectful, & just downright unlikable. While some of her response could be passed as her PTSD, it was over the top. I also felt that not recognizing the other also had PTSD when each had such visible & strong episodes in front of the other was implausible. 2 stars because it was a great & original concept.⬇️

What Do I Say?: The Therapist's Guide to Answering Client Questions | Linda N. Edelstein, Charles A. Waehler

I'm reading a book that was given to me by Story Origin for an honest review. I need some suggestions. I hate the main character and find that the 2 main characters missed such an obvious detail about each other implausible. The book has a 4.5 rating on Amazon from I think 65 reviewers. So, either I'm missing something or this just isn't the book for me. I'm about 50% in. How do I write a review that doesn't trash the book but shows how I feel?

LibrarianRyan Be honest. And do t worry about the Amazon reviews. Say why you didn‘t like it. Keep it to the book and contents within. Not about the author or publisher and you should be good. Bad reviews are just as important as good ones. 5y

LibrarianRyan @Dragonfairykats I get that. Honesty is always the best policy. And like I said, keep it about the book not the author or publisher and it should be fine. Also DO NOT tag the author. That is probably a duh but just in case. 5y

comic books heavily influenced the type of books he would write. "Welcome to the Jungle" is the first graphic novel set in the world of the Dresden Files, and takes place directly before "Storm Front". We are introduced to Harry Dresden, Chicago's first, and only, wizard PI, as well as Lt. Murphy, Sgt. Carmichael & Bob. The sarcasm & wit is hilarious. This was my 1st graphic novel and the illustrations were stunning. Definitely a pick.

To Each His Own | River Ames

I stopped reading romance novels a long time ago. Somehow, as I got older, the sex scenes became superfluous, something that simply took away from the story & my enjoyment. To Each His Own is my first clean romance to see if I still enjoy the genre, & if I might like sweet, clean reads. I have to say, I'm glad I chose it. River Ames knocked it out of the park, convincing me that a clean read can be just as steamy & fulfilling as any other romance

It Didn't Happen | Sandra Glover

Rough week for #BFCR3 week 3. Ran out of a med Tuesday and only got it back yesterday.
Read 1 book
Out of the house 2 (once for a spa day, so there's 1 self care)
No physical activity (lucky I got out of bed lol)

I wasn't as impressed with this addition to the series. The pacing was too fast, there was little character development, & Patricia spent quite a bit of time thinking about the Captain. I have spent all my time since Thurs keeping up with my email (who knew Indie authors had so many contests?!), family time too thankfully. I haven't been able to read or write notes (I feel bad about not getting back to my #LitsyLove and #JB friends) & I also have a stack of books to read/review. BUT I'm feeling petulant and want to read something fun & mindless. 😖🙄 I'd write my notes, but parents are sleeping so not enough light. Rant over. 💖

I'm late this week. I had a migraine yesterday afternoon. Spent the whole gorgeous day sleeping. 🙄😖

As stated somewhere on my reviews, I've increased my book goal due to reading some #A2Z books. They're tiny. The 4th book was a read of a manuscript that's not published yet.

Lisbon is hungry & dinner isn't ready. Several animals offer part of their dinner to her, but she refuses. The illustrations are fantastic! Such detail & saturation of color brought the pages to life right before your eyes. A wonderful picture book for children.

This story was adorable, about a little girl and her bearded bear friend. As they travel they meet more bearded animals that help them and show them new things. This was such a cute way to teach children that someone who is different is not weird. If you get to know them, you may have wonderful adventures with a new friend.

In book 2 of the series, Agent Victoria Heslin is called in to consult on a missing person's case in Charlotte by her boss. In the course of her investigation, she comes across a large sex trafficking ring, the 2nd theme which runs parallel with the missing person. I really enjoyed this book & can't wait for the next one! I received this as an ARC.

🐈 I hate how my library is sorted. As it's ebooks, it makes it difficult and twice as long to figure out what genre the book should go in (over 1000 books don't help). I've gotten them to top level genres, but it's still too chaotic for me.

🐈 I just moved 18 months ago to live with my parents, and I'm still trying to get acclimated. Never easy moving back as an adult, even with a valid reason.

Again Patricia Fisher drew me in to a delightful, entertaining story. An on the run gangster & his reluctant bride-to-be join the passengers on the Aurelia, leading to the gangsters he's running from to infiltrate the cruise liner. The bride-to-be is kidnapped, causing hilarious trouble as each group of mobsters try to find her. Patricia leads the gangsters on a merry chase while trying to come up with a plan to find out who kidnapped Cari & why.
