When I heard this book was coming out, I debated getting it. But this past week, on September 10th, I got the chance to visit the Flight 93 Memorial in a quiet field of rural PA. If you get the chance, I can not recommend it enough. It‘s a beautiful memorial honoring the brave crew and passengers of Flight 93. I hope that this book, too, is a beautiful testament to the strength, love, and bravery of so many that day and those to follow.

Crazeedi Welcome to litsy! And this book tugs the heart so much 5y
Crazeedi And I hope to see the flight 93 memorial soon, I live about 2 hrs from it 5y
danireads @Crazeedi thank you!! And it truly is a beautiful site. So well done. 5y

I don‘t want to wait another year for the next installment!!! I‘ve been so excited to read Catalina‘s story, and IA did not disappoint! This was a great intro to her story arc.

Set 3 years after Nevada‘s trilogy, we see Catalina step up as the head of House Baylor and take over the business. It was great to see so many familiar faces and learn even more about some characters we were only briefly introduced to in previous novels.

Happy release day!!!! I love reading a new (and anticipated!) book on its release day. Such good reading (listening, in this case) vibes! One chapter in and I just want to lay around the rest of the day and listen. #amreading #amlistening #fantasy #paranormalromance

This is probably my favorite book of the series so far. And I am totally admitting that I am partial to it due to its setting in the Louisiana swamps. 😄 #romance #shifterromance #amreading

Another shifter romance kinda fluff book to listen to during my work commutes and travel. I liked it a lot more than the previous novel, thought the plot was lacking a bit. Overall, it was a good listen.

4. No. For once I can‘t wait until Monday when this stupid hurricane has passed and I can go back home to a hopefully not flooded house. (Distracting myself with Litsy until then 😊)

This book definitely leant itself to audiobook format & felt like I was listening to another Bachelorette podcast. (Yes, I consume many of them each week.) I did really enjoy learning the history of dating shows, in general, and how this one came to be. Overall, this was a fun little sneak peek into the Bachelor world, and I may have discovered a new rabbit hole of memoirs to which I‘ll listen.

I‘m a sucker for reality TV and am definitely a part of #BachelorNation. To hype myself up for tonight‘s installment of this season‘s trainwreck of a show, I decided to start listening to this behind-the-scenes account of the show and its history. #amlistening

It‘s a bit of insta-love, but a good little intro into the series and the breed/breedmate world. The audio was pretty good, but the southern Louisiana accent was a bit forced. I assume Steel Magnolias and similar movies were used as reference, but it was a little much, especially for an 18-year-old. Overall, I enjoyed the story and am interested in this world and vampire dynamic that Adrian created.

I haven‘t read this book since I did a report on it in junior high, and I‘m so excited to begin my reread! Kindle has made it so much easier to read and travel, but Nemo much prefers the smell and feel of a good paperback. 😄😄 #TheHobbit #LOTR #reading #Tolkien

Powered_By_Plants Enjoy! I also read this back at school and have recently just watched a hobbit and LOTR marathon 😍 ... never gets old 5y
danireads @Powered_By_Plants I love LOTR marathons. If you haven‘t watched with commentary, you should! I actually haven‘t watched any of the Hobbit movies, so I think I‘ll do a huge marathon once I‘m done reading the book. 😊 5y

Mehso-so

While not terrible, I did find myself occasionally getting bored and distracted. I‘d give this book a solid 3-3.5 out of 5. It‘s set in the BDB world with no BDB involvement. That‘s fine with me, but the plot line was just a bit thin, in my opinion. Honestly, the story really didn‘t need the BDB connection at all, except to maybe help sell it. Still, it‘s a quick and easy novella, just not a favorite of mine. #romance #vampires

elyseh This is one of my all time favorite series! 5y
danireads @elyseh mine too!!! I really love her earlier books in the series and hope she can find that voice again. I think she‘s doing a great job with the Legacy spin-off 5y

I usually love Singh‘s writing, and I still love this world she‘s created, but this installment just felt a little lackluster to me. I guess it helped to move the general storyline along, but I‘m hoping for more with the next book.

RealLifeReading All the King‘s Men - that‘s one I‘ve never read before. 6y
danireads @RealLifeReading You should! It‘s based on the life of Huey P Long, an assassinated governor of Louisiana. I lived in the state for high school, so it was on our reading list. I‘d like to read it again without all of the high school demands, but I do recall liking it. And thanks for this challenge! Great idea! (edited) 6y

Another amazing entry into the Psy-Changeling series, the third installment of its Trinity arc, Nalini Singh really found her voice from her earlier novels. The story was wonderful, the relationship that formed was strong, and I love that she brought the story back to the world of the SnowDancer wolves and DarkRiver leopards. It‘s always fun to catch up with the characters we‘ve loved for years and watch the kids grow. #romance #series
