This book was amazing and devastating and definitely responsible for me crying on the train three times
This book was amazing and devastating and definitely responsible for me crying on the train three times
As always, Brené Brown is freaking fantastic and totally kicked my butt. I almost feel bad about how destroyed this book got in its travels.
Getting back into it after a stressful few weeks at work! And what better way than with a supernatural mystery? I mean seriously
A little hard to get into this one but that might be because I‘ve got the figure skating on in the background...
Fun and light and very Mindy Kaling. Not all of the book has aged well but it was a good palate cleanser!
This book is amazing. I‘ve learned so much and I feel like I ran an emotional marathon but it was worth it.
While I work on #thefutureishistory I‘m catching up on some other Christmas books too!
I wanted to like this more than I did. Not bad just light to the point of feeling unfinished. Eh.
Hellaciously sick but this account of Russia‘s redescent into totalitarianism is still riveting
It‘s freaking hilarious and a super quick read. I stole it from my brother in law and I don‘t regret that.
This book is beautiful and haunting. The author‘s candor is amazing as is her perspective on herself and on her illness.
This book is so good and will definitely make you hungry. But it‘s real strength is in deciphering and deconstructing the messages around us that make eating complicated. Instead, this book is about eating because it‘s good and that‘s a message we could stand to hear more often.
This book is raw and revelatory and a great way to lose track of time on your lunch break
Reading while I wait for the show to start!
A delicious ode to food and eating and how wonderful it is to be hungry and then full - so grateful for this book today!
Oh my gosh so good. Like all Marisha Pessl books it grips you tight all the way to the end and I loved it
Really enjoying this one so far - amazing insights and storytelling
This year‘s Christmas Eve book is Neverworld Wake! Super good so far, but then I love all of Marisha Pessl‘s work.
Just finished this and can I say that I love this series? A literal page turner of classic detective pulp. So good.
Checked out my town‘s free book barn today and came away with some awesome finds!!
Read half this in a day - fascinating so far!

#riotgrams - Day 10: Book Deserving More Readers. Raising Steam is the rare fantasy book that challenges us to fight for justice, not accept the status quo, and genuinely look forward to a better world. It‘s so good.
#riotgrams Day 9 - Spine Poetry: shout out to the most poetic spine I know
A little intense, pretty funny, and seriously well structured, this is a great book of essays about being a person even when you don‘t want to.
#riotgrams Day 8 - Best Book Friendship: it‘s a little messy but I love the friendships in The Robber Bride #margaretatwood

Just finished Fangirl and it‘s a fantastic read. I love the emotional depth to it and the vibrancy of the characters
Doing some WWII research, and the #riotgrams challenge comes just at the right time! Day 2 - Library Love.
Book selfie! I‘m halfway through now and it‘s still almost uncanny how familiar this all feels #Fangirl #rainbowrowell #bookriot #bookriotchallenge
This book is so familiar, so full of characters I‘d swear I knew in college, that it almost hurts #commuterreads #fangirl #train
This book was amazing - like the best parts of fanfiction mixed with the best parts of ya lit. I basically devoured it and now I‘m sad it‘s over!
The final moving pic of my box mountain of books!
The books I‘ve packed and the books I haven‘t... just a few more to go! #bookhoard
I appreciate a well written exploration of justice, and I love how clearly and urgently Keller argues for systemic and personal changes so that we can make the world truly just. It's very convicting, a super good book.
Reread this fantastic bit of sci-fi and totally remembered why I love it. It's about a human girl who grows up surrounded by aliens, scrambling to survive, abandoned on a space station in the middle of nowhere. It's like nothing else and I love it. Now I'm going to read the sequel!
I mean, lets be real, we all know this is a good book. I have little to add to the conversation except to say that yes, indeed, it's a really good book. So what to read next...
