pickSorry this took me a while! I finished about a month ago but it slipped my mind to review it here. I thought this was a compelling look into the mind of a not-so-normal teenage girl. It gives you bit by bit the breadcrumb trail to lead you to your own conclusion at the end of it all, I enjoyed that immensely. Overall, I would recommend this book based solely on its author. Shirley Jackson does it again with We Have Always Lived in the Castle.
pickEvery bit as whimsical as the The Studio Ghibli film. It differs enough that I wasn‘t bored with reading scene by scene similarities. The movie will always have a special place in my heart but the book was surprisingly good for me.
First really nice day this spring. So I thought I would take the opportunity to read outside. I‘ve heard good things about this book, fingers crossed🤞🏻
Loving it so far. I was motivated to read this when I found out the Ghibli film was based on a book of the same name. It‘s... a little different then the movie. Still very good and I like not necessarily knowing what‘s going to happen next.
