pickI would highly suggest you pick this up for yourself. It definitely was not your typical "and they all lived happily ever after" type book. It had a lot of ups and downs, twists and turns. I would give this book 4/5 only because I'm mad at the ending! Like a good movie that just ends with no closure, yup, that's why I'm mad! Dumplin made me think about what I thought about myself and how I perceive others and how they perceive me.
Another wonderful quote! This book has so many and they have all hit me so hard, like dang yup that is so true! You don't really think of it till its brought right in front of your face. "Sometimes the perfection we perceive in others is made up of a whole bunch of tiny imperfections."
This book has many good quotes! Another little one to live by..."...if it's not your body then it's not yours to comment on." Oh how freaking amazing those few little word are! If we could all learn this it would be a much happier place!
I love this passage from the book "Dumplin".... "I'm fat. It's not a cuss word. It's not an insult....." I have a feeling I am really going to like this book! .
