This cold and snowy day is proving the perfect ambience for this thriller❄️
This cold and snowy day is proving the perfect ambience for this thriller❄️
I could not put this book down. I thought I was so smart and figured out everything so early on...and then I read the last page 🤯 This was definitely a fun twisty thriller.
This book was like a warm hug from a best friend that understands you the most 🤗. It was just what I needed to restore my faith in humanity and is one of the best books that I have read all year ❤️
I read two past Reese‘s Book Club picks this week and wasn‘t really impressed. They were good but not great. I‘ve been trying to follow along with her book club but none of her recent picks have really caught my attention.
I loved the BOTM picks for March and actually finished them all this month. I am also realizing that my book sticker is extremely relevant to the times right now 😳
I can‘t find the words to describe how much I love this book because I‘m crying too hard 😭
I could definitely feel Lydia Bird‘s grief while reading this book. My heart ached for her and I thought her ability to visit a life where she never lost her fiancée was much more of a curse than a gift. I‘ve never experienced this kind of loss but I imagine it would make reality even harder to bear. A heavier read than expected but the ending left me hopeful. 4⭐️
Just finished Prep which I enjoyed but it was a slow read. I‘m in need of a page turner and hoping You Are Not Alone will do the trick 🤞
I decided to wait until my husband got back from a trip to start reading this book and I‘m glad that I did because it creeped me out. I would definitely recommend The Sun Down Motel but maybe don‘t read it alone or at night 👻
It seems like most people loved this book but I‘m struggling with it. I bought it because I loved Nothing to See Here so I thought I‘d try another book by the author. I‘m a little over half way through and finding it hard to care about what happens to these characters. They‘re not giving me the same warmth (pardon the pun) as the fire children did in NTSH.
I‘ve been reading a lot of rom coms lately and this one did not disappoint. It was an original story with lovable characters and I could not put it down 🥰
Sally Rooney really knows how to capture the uncertainty of youth. The story follows Francis, a 21 year old poet who tries to navigate life and balance the complicated relationships she has with her best friend, her married boyfriend, and her alcoholic father. It made me glad that I am no longer in my 20s. Although the older adults didn‘t really seem to have a clue about what they were doing either 😬
Christina Lauren is officially my new palate cleanser. This book made me smile and giggle the entire way through. It‘s exactly what I needed after a few disappointing reads.
I liked this book when I started it. The writing style was a little difficult to get into but the conversations between these women made me want to push through the book. I really appreciated that the dialogue was so brutally honest and raw. I would finish a chapter and think about it for the rest of the day. However, I was ready for it to be over about halfway through...and it‘s not a very long book. I liked it but wouldn‘t recommend it.
Starting this one today. It‘s been sitting in my TBR pile for a while but I recently saw that Sarah Michelle Gellar is staring in a limited series adaptation of this book! I am a major Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan and I will watch anything with her in it. And of course I have to read the book before I see the show 🤓
Absolutely LOVED this book! I laughed and cried. My heart ached for these wonderfully weird fire children. I‘m so glad I‘m starting my year out right with an exceptionally good book 🥰
I really enjoyed this book. It was a light and funny fast read. This is the second book in the Class Mom series and I liked it just as much as the first. Although it does make me nervous about my own kids entering elementary school. Is the PTA really this scary???
What did I just read?!? This book was so good! I can usually predict or have a good idea about what is going to happen at the end of a thriller but this one kept me guessing until the very last page. Wow 🤯
Best Christmas present ever! I love my new book cart. The top shelf is my TBR pile, the middle shelf is for snacks and drinks, and the bottom shelf is for a cozy blanket. Happy Holidays everyone!
I have high hopes for this one! Red, White & Royal Blue recently won Best Romance and Best Debut Novel on Goodreads Choice Awards. Hoping it lives up to the hype 🤞
"She thought of books as medication and sanctuary and the source of all good things. Nothing yet has proven her wrong."
Starting this book today and already loving the bookish quotes ?
I devoured this book on a flight to San Diego. 4/5 ⭐️. Would have given it a perfect rating but the ending felt a little disjointed to me. I found myself really relating to Annika, especially the desire to hide under the covers with a book when faced with social situations 😬.
Thanksgiving dinner is over, my kitchen is clean, the kids are in bed and now it‘s time for me to relax with a book 😊
I was looking for a Christina Lauren book to read and had to choose this one. The main characters are professors at UCSB which was where I went to school. Go Gauchos!
This is the second book I‘ve read from Lisa Jewell and it did not disappoint! This was a quick dark and twisty read. Perfect for getting me out of a reading slump.
It took me a while to really get into this book. However, I stuck with it because of all the glowing reviews and I‘m so glad I did. Chloe is trying to live life to its fullest while dealing with crippling chronic pain and Red is trying to rebuild his life after a previous abusive relationship broke him down. Although these are difficult topics this book left me feeling a lot of joy. I would definitely recommend!
I had this book sitting on my TBR shelf for a while due to mixed reviews. I finally decided to read it and now find that I am having mixed feeling about this book. I‘m not sure if I liked it 🤷♀️. It was a quick read and I kept finding myself drawn into the story of these two people and their ever evolving relationship. But the ending was so abrupt and left me feeling kind of empty.
"But she was ne a dragon ne a princess. She was a phoenix."
Oh Gentry, you have quickly become one of my favorite fictional characters. This book was amazing. After reading the synopsis, I wasn‘t sure if I could get into the story but I decided to take a chance since I loved "All The Ugly and Wonderful Things.” I‘m so glad I did because this is one of the best books that I have read all year. I would highly recommend it!
Starting this thriller to get me into the Halloween spirit 🎃
I‘m about half way through this book and can‘t stop smiling! It‘s cold and snowy here in Denver but this sweet little love story is keeping me warm 🥰
I need something light and funny after a heavy read. I think this book will do the trick!
Taking advantage of this chilly fall day by staying inside and reading this beauty of a book. Loving it so far!
