It hath begun.

My round eleven of @Ange44 and I's #tenatatime TBR project is about to begin! Can't believe I've read 100 books since we started this. It's a good motivator.

Finally, after five library books in a row, it's time for my tenth round of @Ange44 and I's #tenatatime tbr project! I admittedly went a little "easier" this time but, after this run, that's one-hundred books read from my giant stacks!

The metric system. The struggle is real! Digging this graphic novel from"Saga" and "Y: The Last Man" creator Vaughan and, due to the man in charge in the U.S. currently, doesn't seem as unrealistic as it should.

Just started this. Hoping it's as fun as the first two!

Some thrift store horror paperback finds. Digging the "Fright Night" novelization as its by Skipp & Spector whose work I love.

Here's my lazy morning. Finishing the seventh book in the Helen Grace series and doing my notes/research for podcast recording this evening.

Super stoked to have this one in my grubby little paws! I'm obsessed with collecting these books and love Hendrix wrote a book all about them!

I've been trying to get into Manga and have had middling success but, man, Ito is one messed up dude!

A town is cursed by spirals causing all sorts of bizarre, gross, and abhorrent things to happen.

Lovecraft inspired nuttiness and well worth checking out.

Finally got to pick my ninth round of @Ange44 and I's #tenatatime TBR project. Almost 100 books in!

Lazy Sunday reading. The goal: try to finish it!

Pretty stoked I get to read Ferguson's new novel before release date! I loved "419".

About to dive in to this. Pretty excited but hoping it doesn't lose its bearings like "Bird Box" did in the last third.

Look what finally came in at the library. Super stoked!

Hey, it's round 8 of my #tenatatime #tbr project! @Ange44 and I are doing a great job sticking to our guns.

I'm into collecting lurid horror paperbacks of the 80's. This pick-up from today for 50 cents may be the most epic (and funny).

You don't see lots of McCammon stuff out in the wild while thrift storing, so finding five at the same one is quite a treat.

That's some fine writing right there. /sarcasm

Up next, a little bit of Japanese crime fiction.

Taking obvious influence from Richard Matheson's story, "Button, Button", this novella length shot of fantasy from King and Chizmar makes for an entertaining few hours of reading. If you dig this, by all means, check out Matheson's work - "I Am Legend" is one of the all-time great horror novels.

Finally get to pick my round seven of @Ange44 and I's #tenatatime tbr project. Was very difficult getting it down to ten but I think it's a good mix.

Couple of new #comics to read. I remember "X" from back in the day and any comic written by Art Brut's Eddie Argos peaks my interest.

Before "The Underground Railroad", Whitehead wrote this zombie book. It's the last book on my #tenatatime tbr - finally! Many delays due to library books make this the longest tbr since we started this project.

Yesterday's thrift store book haul. It's been a hefty vacation week of book buys but I'm okay with that.

Next up on my journey to re-read everything King. I remember it not being his strongest work and the movie was okay but, man, this book's art is not very good...

My round six on our #tenatatime TBR project begins! Fifty books down from our huge stacks so far and it's always fun to pick a new batch.

I keep thinking "Oregon Trail" while reading this post apocalyptic Lewis and Clark retelling and while you're not likely to die of dysentery, mutant bats or spiders might rip your face off.

This resonates even more now with all that's happening in America of late but is also a very effective way to teach racial history in a format younger readers will probably focus on better.

It's an important story that spotlights true injustice and moments in time to truly be ashamed of. It still needs to get better and that's what is truly distressing all these years after the events in this graphic novel occurred.

Just picked my fifth round of our #tenatatime tbr project! When you have this many stacks of unread books, this really keeps you focused.

I thought this was the appropriate book to start reading on Oscars weekend.

Just starting this one. Was my annual "Christmas Stocking Book" and am looking forward to some hopefully creepy stuff within.

Just found this at a thrift store. Wiseau is staring directly into my soul. Watching before tackling this book - I'm frightened.

Don't get me wrong, I have a soft spot for crime thrillers but, man, does this get more and more implausible as it goes along. It's decent at first and a mess by the time it ends.

Characters are poorly developed, especially our domestic abuser baddie who is a bouncer? Cop? Who cares? They just felt unrealistic at all times.

This seems to be as well loved as "Girl on the Train" (which I also think is overrated and disliked) and I am not sure why.

The best thing about revisiting the works of King all these years later? Getting them for so cheap! 75 cents scored me these three and I've not read "Rose Madder" before as I was 'off' his works when it was published in 1995.

Another entertaining Nick Cutter (aka: Craig Davidson) read. A twisted amalgamation of monster movie, mercs, Jim Jones, and the Pied Piper. As gross at times as "The Troop" though not quite on the level of "The Deep" for me but totally worth a read for horror fans.

Have to take a time-out from my current #tenatatime TBR as my hold finally came in at the library. My most anticipated of 2017 is here!
