This picture has nothing to do with this novel, though I like the clinical look. This book is streamlined and efficient with a main character we can get behind. Great mix of plots that tie together effectively.

Nothing against the #audiobook narrator; it‘s the story that I couldn‘t face going back to after I set this aside some time ago. Usually I‘m all in for a novel that tackles the issue of mental health, but I think the problem with this one is that the characters with delusions are just there to further the plot. I might be mistaken, since I didn‘t quite get halfway through, but I‘m bailing anyway.
Should I bail? I‘m 3 hours into this #audiobook and I am uncomfortable with its treatment of mental illness. The characters are intriguing but I don‘t know if I can trust the author and follow where he‘s taking me. I enjoyed Ferguson‘s 419 more than I expected (it was a book club pick) and I‘ve found his essays hit and miss. I‘m feeling unsure of this novel, however. Have any of you finished this?
Nope. Not today. Today or any day is not where I want to spend any time reading a “guy” book with a condescending guy telling off-colour asides. Not a character I can get behind, and not the kind of writing I‘m going to bother reading. Especially today. This week. This year. 🙄
Pretty stoked I get to read Ferguson's new novel before release date! I loved "419".
I found this in my mailbox today - I didn't realize I won another Goodreads giveaway. I went on to confirm it was from Goodreads, and found out that I have another one coming as well! That's four wins in the past month. What is happening?! #bookmail #goodreads
