I was already almost done, but at least I'll get that nice feeling of accomplishment that comes with finishing a book early in the #readathon
I think I've always skipped the forward before, which is a shame because it's really worth reading.
omg, I love Beauvoir and Gamache! I was not expecting much from this book, a typical cozy mystery, with the added benefit of being in the much loved Eastern townships, but, wow, this book was above and beyond! It's totally a cosy mystery, but also so much more. Hard to explain, but more interesting, more "deep". I am going to enjoy reading more of this series (I hope!). #cosymystery
Enjoying the first real day of spring and a old favorite. #spring #readingoutside #teenfavorite #reread
For a heartwarming story about friendship it had me crying a lot. There were many tears at the begging and the end especially. But it's a very interesting read about homelessness.

So, I don't like this book much more on the second read, 15 years later, then the first but I am curious to know where this series is going. Hopefully the main characters will be a little less bland as they grow up.
It was a fun and funny romance, I laughed more then once. I really liked that the main character was a scientist grad student. 😊 And the secondary characters were great. The conclusion/ending seemed a little rushed, perhaps.
All in all, a perfect, relaxing summer read.
"Being outwardly friendly while keeping people at a distance was second nature to Ledi. She thought of it as her social phospholipid bilayer : flexible, dynamic, and designed to keep the important parts of herself seperate from a possibly dangerous outside environment.
Love it when an author knows her #science ?
I spend so much time googling food while reading this book, and it makes me so hungry! 🤤 Unfortunately I live somewhere with very little good Asian food. 😢
This book was super fun. Not all short stories are created equal, but for the most part they were pretty good. I wouldn't mind is they did this for all Star Wars movies.
I love the tv show so much and this book was exactly like it. The Librarians and the Mother Goose Chase was short, funny and joyful. Greg Cox did a great job. I am going to take a look at some of his other books.
Great book! It's an interesting outsiders perspective of a First Nation community. But also a great story about family, love, and loss in all its variations and complexities.

Kathy Reichs' Temperance Brennan books are always a good read. They're also all very similar but the science more then makes up for that.
It was a fun read. The story is so unbelievable it's almost ridiculous. The main character, Oliver Stone, is a little bit of a super tragic Gary Stu, but I liked the secondary main character Joe Knox. It was the first time I read a David Baldacci book; I'll probably read more of his stuff, at least the books I own.
I think outside reading season has finally started. ☀️
I'm pleasantly surprised by Divine Justice so far. It's fun and not too demanding, just what I wanted.

Folio Society books are just so beautiful! #foliosociety #newbooks #bookhaul
Been reading these since I was a child. I 💙 Snowy! @bookriot #riotgrams #tintin #milou
Many, many things annoyed me about this book. And if I hadn't decided to read it for a reading challenge and it wasn't so short, I would never have finished it. But I'm glad I did. It's not that it gets better, but it did matter to charme me. I dislike the narration, the ending is blah, but I smiled and I almost cried (in public).
Read it for my work bookclub, and while I don't regret reading it and what the author was trying to say was interesting, I found it incredibly frustrating. Reading fiction based on a real person and real events just means that I spend more time watching videos and googling things then actually reading the book. I want to know the facts, the fictional stuff just ends up annoying me.
The book Christmas tree at work, they did a great job! #BiblioAssnat #seasonsreadings2017
Very interesting! Tye did a good job of trying to explain RFK's character and motivations, as well as the political and social events happening in the 60's.
I love all of Guy Delisle's books and this one was no exception. I loved how the images and the text added to the story. It was interesting and simple, and all around a great read.
This book was loads of fun! Definitely one of my favourites this year. #scifi #somethingforsept #BestReadsOfSeptember
