1069 pages of my beautiful, illustrated, hard cover edition. Pure joy.

Currently reading. Seems interesting so far.
Edit: 3 solid stars. Fast paced story and likeable characters- what‘s to want more.
Well there, missy, muck. The sentence sums the book up. Made up, annoying swear words, not a single character interesting, the plot nonexistent. Just don‘t bother.
Little Red Hood and Big Bad Wolf and all the feelings, boy, the feelings...
I had high expectations after her other book, Lie to Me.
Yet it was nothing special.
I like how Lovelace creates her own tropes - the witch, the boys with some matchsticks, the trials, the burnings etc. - as symbols of historical and modern-day dangers lurking and waiting for women of every race, religion or nationality. I like how her poetry emanates the strenght; the ancient power or womanhood. We're still here, aren‘t we? And the calligrams! Guillaume Apollinaire would have been so proud!
I received a copy from Netgalley.
This is a book about well-dressed psychopaths.
This is a masterpiece.
Makes me want to find my old latin and greek notebooks.
I had this book on my bookshelf for two years. I could see it. I could touch it. And I thought 'no yet, you'll be sorry you read it."
Now I want to erase my memory. And read it again.
“Beauty is terror. Whatever we call beautiful, we quiver before it.”
This book is terror. I quiver before it.
