I'm getting some major Lucille and Buster Bluth vibes from this book but only if their storyline got really dark and disturbing.

I relate to so much Mara is saying but that line made me laugh so hard. A boy wrote that in my yearbook saying I was "so sweat". I was embarrassed thinking this poor boy while also thinking nooo this is going to be in my yearbook forever!!!!
Thought I should post this book after being featured in the latest Annotated Book Riot podcast. Went to Wizard Con, thought it would be fun to get my picture taken with Thomas Ian Nicholas, and my husband ended up buying this too (he had no idea of the history behind this book and bought it because he knew I liked books). Both Lani and Thomas signed it and we all had an awkward conversation (to me) about the book. Weird times at Wizard Con!

pickI have to say that this volume is probably my favorite so far out of this series. I really enjoyed it but the ending made me so incredibly angry. Beware readers because this graphic novel gets really dark really quick.
This graphic novel based on a true incident is absolutely amazing. After the writer is physically and mentally destroyed by a mugging, he is brought down and then brought up by the animated characters he helps create.

I know I'm a little late for all the bookmark fun but I had to post my fave bookmark. Working at a used bookstore means finding lots of great bookmarks like this gem! Make sure though that you check your books before you sell them. I've found lots of lost family photos 😕

I just attempted my own reenactment of some scenes in this book with my dogs, realized I'm completely out of shape and my dogs not really on board with this, but while still feeling empowered anyway! Superpowered, kick-ass girl style!

pickBooks generally don't scare me but I have to say, this one legit did. Right at a pivotal point in the story my bf's phone rang and I jumped straight up. I had to give myself a minute or two for my heart to resume normal beats before I dove back in.

Heart: ....do you want to go to the library?

This graphic memoir is really hitting me in the feels. Such an important topic that is very well done.

Am really enjoying so far. Classic Margaret Atwood at her best.
