A twist on damsel in distress trope, making fun of Cosmo articles!
Isabel has trouble trusting men & asking for help, but the safe house for women she runs falls into disrepair & she's left broke. Only solution? Sharing her secrets with Nick.
This volume was sad & darker than the previous one; both protagonists dealing with trauma made for a compelling tale, even if it's messy.
It's about building a strong partnership & letting your guard down.
Moving on to the next volume in the Love by Numbers series by @sarahmaclean immediately. Need the fluff in my life, don't @ me.
Thanks @amanda for the recommendation :)

An entertaining & cute historical #romance that's also feminist af. Bless Sarah Maclean!
Callie is tired of being the good girl & following the rules, so she comes up with a list of adventures she would like to experience: drinking, fencing & gambling being just a few of them. Because why not? But what if a handsome aristocrat comes in the picture?
Bonus: a witty Italian débutant as a backup character :)
#24in48
Bless @Amanda from @bookriot for putting @sarahmaclean on my radar :) Currently in a mood for an adorable historical #romance, don't @ me.
Kicking off #24in48 readathon with picking up "Nine rules to break when romancig a rake", the first volume in the Love by Numbers series. If it's anything like the excellent Rules of Scoundrels series, I am in for a treat!
Also, I adore this cover so much...

Anyone want a pen pal from Estonia?
Who knew a novel I picked up while on holiday would end up being the best book of 2016?

I'm back :) Did you miss me?
Good news: there's a new indie bookstore in town and so purchased this collection of novellas & short stories by Simone. Nobody describes Paris quite like her.
"The card-indexes and blank paper on my desk urged me to work; but there were words dancing in my head that prevented me from concentrating."
#readwomen #ReadingWomenMonth
"She puts cinnamon on tomatoes
white pepper on carrots
mustard seeds on unlikely things
and takes wine and ice with breakfast."
#DiverseAThon Day 4 Update :)
" i am a child of three countries. the water. the heat. the words."
#DiverseAThon Day 3 Update :)
A translation of a new novel by my favorite author will finally be published soon! So excited for my friends all over the world to get a chance to experience it :) "Jacob's Scriptures" is a masterpiece.
