Writing in the Dark | Tim Waggoner

Pickpick

Horror novel you‘re writing meandering a bit? Try this one. I reread it this week to help me focus. Recommend this one for writers starting to explore the genre. #writersread #amwriting #horror

Bloodline | Jess Lourey

So the very cool Jess Lourey taught a Book on a Bag workshop at Bouchercon. Kinda intimidating for a short story writer… who is a “pantser” anyway. My characters kick any outline to the curb. Dare I try this method? Reading her award-winning thriller seems easier! I will start there… #thriller #writersread

Another day off. Another afternoon with a book. I already like this considerably more than the last one. Can‘t go wrong with Mr. King. This copy was a gift from the lovely @britt_brooke for the #nonfictionswap. Fiiiinally putting it at the top of my pile! #writersread #readerswrite #memoir #writingcraft

BarbaraTheBibliophage p.s. Going back to work tomorrow is going to suck. 5y
britt_brooke Hope you enjoy!! 🤗 5y
JanuarieTimewalker13 That‘s exactly how I feel about King, I can depend on him to spin a good yarn📚❤️ (edited) 5y

BarbaraTheBibliophage @JanuarieTimewalker13 For sure. And this yarn is his own life! 5y
SaniyyahK I‘m looking forward to reading this one! 5y
Hollie I lent this to a student for the weekend. I can‘t wait to see what she thought of it! 5y
JanuarieTimewalker13 Yes!! I read that about 15 years ago, don‘t remember much. 5y
mom2bugnbee Every writer I've ever known has said that this book is a must read for every other reader. 5y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @mom2bugnbee I‘ve heard more or less the same thing. And that‘s why I‘m reading it before all the other writing-related books on my shelves! 😎 5y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Hollie I hope she loved it! 5y
TracyReadsBooks Love this book. I reread it periodically whenever I‘m looking for inspiration about writing. What King reveals about his life is equally fascinating. 5y
The_Real_Nani I have not a read a single Steven King novel but I loved this book. One of the best books on writing, IMHO 5y

TsahaiMakeda I used to think myself weird for pining for this form in school. Now I know it was just the literary monster in me screaming to be let loose! #writersread 8y
Suzze All the years I was a kids bookseller I would tell parents to buy from these. Such amazing deals. 8y
marixa The BEST day of the school month would be when your scholastic order would come in, and the teacher would hand out your books, with your original order form as the bookmark. I always bought as many as my mom would allow. 8y
LauraBeth Me too 😍😍 and I'm 45 8y
Cortg I love them...and school book fairs! 8y
