I love how weirdly different Pessl works are. I'm always amazed with the worlds and stories she dreams up.
Neverworld Wake was no different, from the get go I was intrigued and captured by the whole idea of a space between life and death where you have to make the decision you never would want to in life.
Even the unlikable characters didn't deter me from wanting to know. And as I sit here thinking it all through, I know I'll read it again.

I've enjoyed this one more than I did the first one. The pace is just really slow and for the best part of the book it feels like nothing is happening.... And then in the last 80 pages I couldn't put the book down. And now I have to read the next one. I NEED TO KNOW!

While I'm 100% in support of the message this book holds, I was not a fan. I couldn't find one single character I liked. The story dragged and I just couldn't engage with it.
If I haven't had it on audio I would definitely have DNF it.

I love it when a contemporary doesn't stick to the happily ever after! I've heard that most people loved this book up until the ending. I like it because of the ending.
This was my first go with Picoult, and I quite enjoyed her writing style. Any suggestions on what else of her I could try?

pickOooh, this was just delicious! With Christie half the fun is seeing the solution neatly laid out at the end and piecing it together again backwards, and this one seemed especially well plotted so I got to relish that sense of surprise all over again as I ran back through how everything fit together.
pickThis is the 3rd in the Padme trilogy and here is where she marries Anakin. Also Sabe comes back to switch places with Padme while she goes on a secret mission.
