Clare-Dragonfly See, I told you V was just misunderstood because THESE PEOPLE WILL NOT TALK TO EACH OTHER!!!! 2mo

BarkingMadRead @Clare-Dragonfly I‘m so relieved 😰 2mo
mcctrish Well that was action packed @Clare-Dragonfly they also don‘t read or finish thoughts or ever let us know what‘s going on! Emily is haunted by papers she burned and didn‘t read except for a few words which she won‘t recount to us 😡 2mo
Bookwormjillk This book is almost over and I feel like we‘re still in the introduction. 2mo
eeclayton @mcctrish I also really want to know what she saw behind that veil in the castle of Udolpho 😡 2mo
mcctrish @eeclayton is this the mystery of udolpho? Unfinished thoughts? Things not described? Conversations not had? Things we missed cuz we fainted ? it‘s certainly not tears not shed #rivershavebeencried #lakeshavebeenfilled 2mo
dabbe Your picture says EVERYTHING about this book that I simply could not finish. Absolute kudos to all of you who could! You are my inspiration! 💙❄️💙 2mo
AllDebooks @mcctrish 😅🤣🤣 I actually feel cheated. This is supposed to be one of the most iconic, ground-breaking gothic novels and it's pure melodrama eeked out forrrrreeeevvvvvvver #teenagevoiceandeyeroll 👀🙄 Where all the ghosts and mysteries at? 2mo
AllDebooks If you use the analogy of a walk in the park for the twists and turns of actual plot alongside all the flimflam melodrama that padded it out, we actually just walked every bloody peak in the Pyrenees. 2mo
mcctrish @AllDebooks yay I got my steps in this week/month 2mo

mcctrish Honestly! D “I can‘t tell you, you tell me” E “no I can‘t tell you, you tell me” FFS you both can rot! Also V was whoring and gambling! What a chapter! Pagan dancing for the win 2mo

AllDebooks If this was published now, it would be a novella once a skilled editor got busy with their red pen 2mo
peanutnine "God forbid anyone tells a story immediately" ??? so true. And all these hints to what she saw in the letter, just tell us!!! 2mo
Clare-Dragonfly Why the HECK can‘t Emily just say “oh that picture? It was my dad‘s.” It‘s not like she has any more information than that! 2mo
TheAromaofBooks Oh man, now I just don't know who Emily is going to marry! All her choices are terrible! I'm kind of leaning towards Henri; at least he hasn't been a stalker yet 😂 2mo
Bookwormjillk On one hand this chapter was frustrating because of the non-storytelling but on the other hand at least the picture came back up and V is finally here. On to part 4! #WeAreGettingThere 2mo
Bklover @mcctrish 🤣🤣🤣🤣 You nailed it! 2mo

mcctrish Despite being long, and fainting at critical points where creepers are involved 🤦🏻‍♀️ #forfuckssakeemily this chapter has accomplished more than the entire book to day #praisebe also thank goodness ludacris checked under the saddle so E could buy a hat 3mo

BarkingMadRead @mcctrish omg the freaking hat 🙄 #priorities 3mo
Clare-Dragonfly That‘s why I called him Ludo in the first place 😂😂😂 3mo
Clare-Dragonfly And yeah, as soon as the guy wouldn‘t tell Ludo his name, I knew it wasn‘t going to be V. 3mo
Bookwormjillk I was a bit shocked it wasn‘t V myself. But then again we still have many chapters to go. 3mo
Bklover I wonder where V is? Maybe he‘s moved on! (I sure hope not after all this) 3mo
peanutnine I had a feeling the creeper wasn't V cause he would have already admitted it to Emily, he was always really frank about his stalker tendencies lol 3mo
mcctrish @Bklover he‘s still partying in Paris 3mo
julieclair @mcctrish I sure do hope you‘re wrong about partying in Paris, but my gut tells me you‘re right. 😒 2mo
