I‘m going to be honest I never heard of that German made fairy tale, but I‘ll be reading it soon. 12 princess sisters in this retelling are cursed to dance every night for the Stone King with his 12 sons. Naturally, their kingdom is under a spell where they can‘t help, and any prince that tries does! I love fairy tale retellings so this was awesome! 😍

When I was young, I loved Faerie Tale Theatre, especially The Twelve Dancing Princesses. I watched it all the time. The tagged book was a decent retelling set in the 1920's.

so-soI‘ve been reading too much YA/NA fantasy & romantasy lately, a little goes a long way for me in these genres & this was pretty weak in comparison to my other current reads. But I didn‘t want to DNF just because I was comparing it to Iron Flame 😅
Nothing happens until the last 3rd of the book & suddenly it became terrifying & weird. So it was a long journey to get to the good part, but then I was riveted. I didn‘t care about the romance though
