"Thou can't believe that!"
The Puritan-speak takes some getting used to, but you can't deny that it really adds to the atmosphere of the story! #historicalfiction #toppick #chrisbohjalian

This was the #Modernmrsdarcybookclub pick for the month of October. I really enjoyed this book andit was so, so easy to read. It made me laugh, made me cry. Even though I am several years younger than #Kellycorrigan, unmarried(at the moment), and am childless, this book was so relatable. It's simply beautiful and am better for reading such a piece of literature. #toppick #october #2018 #reflect #tellmemore

BookaholicNatty I love modern Mrs Darcy so I bet this was a great read!!! 6y
RebeccaRoo7 Yes!! It certainly was. 😊 6y

Wow this book had me anxious and freaked out throughut most of the book. I love when a good book makes you feel something, and I really enjoyed the ending too. #toppick #psychologicalthriller

RaimeyGallant Sounds good to me! 6y
InnerSavvy @raimeygallant If you like psychological thrillers I would read it. Not fast paced but definitely got under my skin. 6y

This book was given to me by one of the best bosses I have ever worked for! A friend later borrowed it and I never got it back. So, I loved it so much I went out& found another copy of it. This book is a short, easy & inspirational book about how we Influence the lives of others & how they influence us!

OMG probably one of the best dystopian/fantasy reads of 2017! If your wanting a thrilling read with 80's pop culture references up the wazoo! This is certainly for you! Don't be intimidated though even if your not a whiz on 80's pop culture it would still be a most enjoyable read!
It features some of today's topical themes which makes this book even more interesting!

Bostonmomx2 I'm debating. I don't really at all like that genre but the 80s pop culture is really trying to suck me in. 7y
JoeStalksBeck The trailer for the movie looks to have detoured terribly from the book 😫 7y
Whatannareads @bostonmomx2 You should definitely give it a try, I was dubious as 80's pop culture isn't really my forte, but there weren't many references I didn't understand, even if it was by name/mention only. It was so fun and a very quick read and a one off. So no a massive commitment if your not sure x (edited) 7y

Whatannareads @JoeStalksBeck yeah i am not entirely sure that I am going to watch the movie. It was such an enjoyable book and I don't want it ruined x 7y
JoeStalksBeck That's exactly how my husband and I feel! 7y
LibrarianRyan @Bostonmomx2 you really should give it a try. Spielberg is making a movie and it looks Devine. The book is amazing. 7y
LibrarianRyan @JoeStalksBeck that I agree with. We shall see. I still want to see it. 7y
BookishBelle Loved this book! The only reason I'm seeing the movie after that trailer is because Spielberg made it. 7y
Whatannareads @BookishBelle yeah, i see what you mean, the only thing is I've heard Spielberg has taken all of the references to his work out of it 😞 x 7y
BookishBelle @Whatannareads Oh great. I really hope that's not true. 7y
Whatannareads @BookishBelle the theory being that Spielberg didn't want to feel like the film was full of self promotion for previous works. But personally I think people would naturally want to see/hear or read at least some of the references the actual book mentions. I certainly do now. X 7y
BookishBelle @Whatannareads Me too! We can't be the only ones. 7y
alisiakae That's so funny you just read this, as it is also what I chose for the dystopian traveling book! 7y

I really enjoyed this tale!

It was a little bit creepy in parts and to me the photos just added to creepy vibe, but it wasn't all out scary.
I found the idea of the Home for Peculiar Children very interesting especially when you think that 100 years before the book takes place (with the peculiars) the Lunacy asylum act was granted!

All in all ⭐️️⭐️️⭐️️⭐️️⭐️️ read!

So loved this Graphic Novel and the first instalment of Monstress!
Lots of action, plot twists and turns.
Monstress follows Maika Halfwolf and Company searching for answers about Maika's past.
When she become not only the hunter but also the hunted, the monster starts to awaken with in, it is not to keen on being controlled.

Also can be found as Angel Stone under pseudonym Juliet dark;

Very sad that this trilogy has come to an end, a grown fairy tale steeped in Scottish folklore. urban/supernatural i genres expect fairies, brownies, witches, and vampire to name a few and time travel as well as some steamy romance.

Gone Girl | Gillian Flynn

I knew it would be great but I didn't expect to like it this much! I wish I didn't read the book so I could read it again. There is so much more detail within this book compared to the movie and I love Amy Dunne and her craziness. Gillian Flynn writes beautifully and I'm looking forward to reading more of her work, such as Sharp Objects and Dark Places.
