As some of you have learned about me, I am a “little“ obsessed with Batman...😂, I know, more like a little, overly, obsessed with Batman.
And this remains my absolute favorite story about my favorite superhero.
The first “reread“ of a book without a single, pretty illustration 🤔, and I loved just the same as I had the first time reading this book. 👇
pickAn excellent book that gives some of the biggest minority heroes a chance to tell their stories. They did a great job of choosing characters that casual fans would be aware of, but not particularly knowledgeable of, and providing some alternate views of major DC and world events. More of an illustrated novel, since it is VERY wordy, and the art does not move the story forward at all, but once you get starting, it's hard to put down

pickThe spontaneous marathon is complete! Just got a good momentum, and realized I really wanted to know how everything ended. The answer is: the only way it could. After everything that's happened, all the loss and mistakes, tying off some loose ends means acknowledging things won't ever be the way they were. 1/?
so-soWow, that went by really fast. Definitely has its share of dark moments, seemed to be almost entirely fight scenes and planning to fight scenes. Highlights were Hal Jordan's hallucinated 'Jiminy Cricket', and Javelin joy ride complete with alarm saga. ⚠️Animal death

pickEeeee! I love 💕 where this volume ended, kind of feels like one nemesis down, one to go, but that's really last on my list of reasons why I love it. Everybody helping out, and the relationship confirmation- the hand placement?! 👀. Just squeeing with joy over here, which is exactly what I want from this series. ☺️

As a work of fiction, this is an incredible accomplishment. The focus on a relationship between a young person and a man who's trying to be a father figure, but particularly the inner life of someone contemplating that role. 1/?
pickA few classic storylines from O'Neil and Adams featuring Ra's Al Ghul. A mixed bag, but a solid collection.
An origin story that perfectly wraps the beginnings of Bruce Wayne's character and his making of Batman.
Wish I had kept a book journal when I was younger...read how my younger self felt about some of my gold star reads. I've only devotedly began one since becoming a Litten 😉👍.
This one keeps all of the Gold 🤩 Stars I originally gave. Excellent!
