Mehso-so

After the death of Stephen Strange the mantle of Sorcerer Supreme was taken by his widow, Clea. Daughter of the Faltine Warlord Umar and niece to the Dread Dormammu, she can be terrifying when opposed. Pursued by agents of Death as she seeks a way to bring her beloved Stepehn back to life, she scours the underworld for a solution.
She's a fitting inheritor to the role of protector of Earth. Worth checking out!

After a mountaineering accident, Bruce Wayne is nursed back to health by a shaman.

They have discussions afterwards, Wayne learns some secrets of the shaman and take them back to Gotham, where he becomes the Batman.

It is an excellent graphic novel and a perfect follow-up to Year One.

Beautifully illustrated, and a cool storyline.

Roddy McDowall provides excellent narration of the novelization of the 1989 Batman movie. Fans of the animated series will know him as the voice of the Mad Hatter, and you can just tell he is having a blast when he gets to cut loose with the Joker scenes! The novelization is fine; a few scenes omitted, not much added. Definitely worth a listen in audio, though.

This was cute, but I'm not surprised there was never a follow-up. (I'd probably read it if there was, though.) The characters are such YA cliches, not what I expect from Novik!

The art style took a little getting used to. I don't know the correct way to categorize it, but sometime the characters are gorgeously stylized, and then they're drawn much younger to express their emotions. It's effective, but also a bit creepy.
