pickIt‘s been ages since I‘ve read YA and honestly this was so much fun! Even if my millennial heart did die a little bit at the shade directed at 00s (or earlier) technology. Part coming of age, part library based horror, part romance - all a great time.

so-so3 ⭐this graphic novel/manga is hard to get into and at times hard to follow. It feels like the words are reading in the wrong direction at times. A woman inherits a creepy house and finds out there is a strange cat that lives in there. This isn‘t any cat, it‘s a monster cat. it can grow and shrink. It can multiply. It could destroy the world if allowed. You also have the local police officer who has the hots for the girl

Meanwhile she is asked to take on a case of strange activity at a 12th century house on the border between Wales & England. The new owners have been seeing & hearing weird shadows & noises, but when Merrily goes to see them, she has the feeling they are holding something crucial back. Good news - Lol is finally back. Bad news - so is Jane.

I have read this book several times since the early 1980s (when I first read it) and it never fails to entertain me. I hate that I lost my childhood copy (which had the best cover IMHO).
It was also pretty good for the #HauntedShelf #WordSearch I found four more words for a total of 9.
