pickLove the art style and I‘m so glad that more Webtoons are getting physical publications. Ellie discovers she‘s a psychic and gets hired by Ichabod, a pumpkin headed paranormal investigator, to be his partner in investigating all that goes bump in the night. Fast read, lovable characters, can‘t wait to get my hands on volume two!

Not gonna lie, my thoughts at the beginning of this book consisted of “what the hell am I reading right now?”. Once past the first chapter of the volume, I began to enjoy it a bit more and found it strange, but interesting. I didn‘t enjoy the suggestive parts as much (also what is with the grandma‘s appearance??) but I‘ll read the next one to see how the story continues.

pickNo second book slump for Allie Therin‘s Sugar & Vice series! TWISTED SHADOWS deepens everything that worked in LIAR CITY. It‘s a great mosaic of intriguing (but not always admirable) characters, banter, and big questions about power of both the supernatural and governmental sort. I ate it all up and can‘t wait to see where the story goes next after that game changer ending!
We‘re at the point in the year where I do a lot of late-night reading by treelight, with flying pigs for company.
Last night I dug into Allie Therin‘s second Sugar & Vice novel. It‘s been a couple years since the first one so it took me a little while to sink back in, but I‘m enjoying it nonetheless. Y‘all know I always want more fantasy mysteries. This one‘s full of compelling characters and X-Men-style questions about fear.
I‘m finally posting my #ReadYourEbooks list for December. I‘ve only read one (I‘m a little over halfway through but expect to have it finished tomorrow) for November, but I consider that a win! It‘s one I‘ve been trying to get myself to read (and it‘s so good, I don‘t know why I was dragging my feet), so I‘m so glad I‘m finally reading it. Can‘t wait to see which numbers get drawn!
