I normally post pics of the #outdoors in the PNW and deservedly so. But today I decided on this pic from a trail at Lake Del Valle back in my hometown in CA. Different kind of scenery, still beautiful

I cannot wait! Who is going?!🙋🏻♀️📚
1. The San Francisco Bay Area
2. The Incendiaries
3. Macarons!
4. I taught myself to crochet last year and am attempting my first sweater pattern! Also I‘m hoping my two boys will join in the #readathon today!
5. Try to stay up later (so says the person who falls asleep at 10pm)

Almost here! @Blueberry and I look forward to the Bay Area Book Festival every year and I always make us these schedules/guidebooks to help us plan our day ahead of time. I work in printing so it's kind of my ~thing.~ I hope @Blueberry likes hers 🤓

Bay Area BookFest in Berkeley 📚📖
Bay Area Littens let me know if you are going! The list of writers isn't up yet but last year Sherman Alexie, Yaa Gyasi and Sunil Yapa among others were there so you know it will be a great lineup. Littens who are not in the Bay Area - I have a guest room. ❤❤❤
Here's a great place to #getindie that's closest to my home (a 15 minute drive —sadly no bookstore in my town), the Books Inc in Burlingame, CA. They have a terrific kids corner where I used to clock many hours reading aloud to my wee ones - now they're equally interested in their selection of socks! The staff's great here and the manager is a lovely guy who is also a parent at our school! #sfbayarea @Litsy
Bell's Books in Palo Alto, CA is around the corner from where my daughter was taking Shakespeare class last year and it soon became my favorite hangout. They celebrated their 75th anniversary last year and they have all the books —new, used, vintage, and it's just a beautiful bookish place to wander through the stacks. Switching to Shakespeare in SF this year — hoping that location will also be bookstore adjacent! #getindie @Litsy #sfbayarea
Sadly my town doesn't have a local indie bookstore but on last weekend's roadtrip up to the North Bay we visited so many charming indies like this one in Windsor CA, Pages Books on the Green. The kids quickly made themselves at home, finding favourite books to flip through and where I picked up an RK Narayan book for myself. Too bad it's a nearly two hour drive from my home, so I can't call it my local #getindie #litsy #indiebookstore #sfbayarea
