Meh, idk about this one. The MC/narrator‘s voice was funny for a while, but the consistent self-deprecation and dislike got wearing after a while. This book is really just about Greg and what happens to him because of this girl who‘s dying, except not that much really happens? He doesn‘t seem to change that much, although he is clearly affected more than he pretends to be. Sort of coming of age without much self-actualization, I guess. Soft pick.

This is the picture book selection for my library‘s Community Read. It is adorable and I want a physical copy for my own shelves. I love the watercolor artwork and how the illustrations are all done inside watercolor dots. It‘s a great story about harnessing creativity. The whole thing just makes me happy.

MaleficentBookDragon This is a fantastic book. A wonderful photographer, Nancy Rotenberg used to use it in her creative workshops. She was an amazing person and showed us that this book is inspiring for adults too. 19h
mhillis Love this book! I used it as a basis for discussion with adult English language learners. 27m

My #Bookspin and #Doublespin for March. Both have been on my shelf for a while now. I loved Jamieson‘s Roller Girl and Infidel is the second book in a trilogy.

I didn't expect to enjoy this one as much as I did, much less have it take me back to High School and give me all sorts of emotions like this did.

The overall story was fun! It was so much fun to read about a high school prom, the ups and downs of that age, the changes in relationships, the growing apart and yet forming new relationships, the borderline of being a kid and yet learning to grow still.

February wrap up! The tagged was my favorite read of the month by far followed by Keke‘s memoir. 💖💌

I almost forgot it‘s Freedom to Read week here in Canadia, but I managed to find this on my TBR. I‘m 100 pages in and not much has happened, but it‘s pretty funny and sharp. Don‘t forget to #readbannedbooks!
