Not just about the Mob, but about the infamous outlaws of the depression era. If you‘re a fan of mafia movies, you‘ll like this. Quick read overview histories.

This was a little tense reading what with all the cultural and legitimate intrigue that went into this man's life and career while covering this crime element. Solid true crime book

I think this is the best book I read out of Bill O'Reilly's Killing Series. It was so interesting to me. It not only looked at the mafia but also JFK, Robert Kennedy, Marilyn Monroe, the Rat Pack, J. Edgar Hoover and many more famous people. I love a nonfiction book that I learn things from and this one did not disappoint in that area. I listened to the Audiobook through the Libby App.

Button Man: A Novel | Andrew Gross

Wow. Wow. Wow!! I saw this book at Goodwill and waivered over buying it (for a whopping $2.99 lol). It sounded interesting, but I have a pile of books on my TBR stack to get through. Well, my Aunt saw through that lame excuse and bought it for me, and I‘m so glad she did! I loved this story of the Rabishevsky brothers - this was a total page turner that I didn‘t want to put down. What other Andrew Gross books should I read? I‘m hooked now!

Aims42 Themes: 20th Century New York City (1905-1992), Mobsters, Coming of Age stories 11mo

JanuarieTimewalker13 I just searched my library for it. It‘s at my branch. I will let you know. I‘m currently reading a book, but I‘m craving a page turner (edited) 11mo

POV: nonfiction author losing credibility by the fourth paragraph after stating he was a comic book fan since the 60s, yet didn‘t know that the comic book Steve Rogers grew up in the Irish neighborhoods of the Lower East Side. The author was obviously not a Capt America fan until 2011 when the movies inexplicably moved Steve Rogers to Brooklyn. 🤷‍♂️

julesG 🤭🤣🤣🤣 Now we all know just how much research went into the book. 12mo
Awk_Word_Smith @julesG I mean that was literally the first thing that I thought when I read it. I know I‘m a comic book nerd, but if you spend the three previous paragraphs and the first four of your book trying to convince the reader you know what you‘re talking about—please know what you‘re talking about. 😂 12mo
