Hey guys, I cant see pictures right now on Litsy through my phone app. I‘ve tried different internets, moving around the house, turning off my phone, and even deleting my app to upload it again. Still no pictures. 😭 Any other suggestions? I went on my laptop to get things I was tagged in, but won‘t be able to do that as often as I would like. 😰

CuriousG It's not your phone. There is something going on with the app and nobody is able to see pictures. The website originally had the same issue but they fixed it quickly enough most people didn't notice. I have heard they are working on the app though. 1y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks So frustrating!! 1y
dabbe If a person tried to upload a pic through the app, you still can't see it on the web page. It seems like only the web page is working--both for posting and for seeing. #frustrating 1y
julesG Check @TimSpalding for updates 1y
AshRaye I logged into Litsy through my phone's browser and everything loaded. However, when I'm on the app, I still can't see pictures. 1y

Pickpick

Greer was such a jerk for so long that I really struggled with seeing how Holly could even like him...but he grew on me throughout the book. As always I love how all her other characters make appearances. Some seriously sad events though! #thelastriders #romance

CoverToCoverGirl You‘re almost caught up! 😊 Her newest #Predators book has just been released.. we‘ll be doing a buddy read in the next few days.. if you get Crazy Bitch read you could join in if you‘d like. (edited) 7y
Lauren_reading @CoverToCoverGirl sometimes I want to read them all at once and other times I want to spread them out so I don‘t get to the end 😂😂 buddy read sounds fun so I‘ll try to catch up!!! 7y

Mehso-so

I enjoyed the latter part of the book but the first part made me feel like nothing happened. It was a tease of half information and minimal development. That being said, the last 100 pages were fantastic! I‘d give book two a chance, especially since the plot is so unique. #newreads #yalit #frustrating #popsugar2018

Question 2 of 5. I hope everyone is enjoying this book so far! We‘re excited to host the first discussion of our #litsybuddyread. I will be posting questions 2 and 4. Check @MinDea ‘s page for questions 1, 3 and 5. Thanks! Please no spoilers if you have read past chapter 5. #LITSYBUDDYREAD

AmyG I do agree. At what point does a filmed shooting or social media pressure have an effect on racial bias and he police? I'd like to believe in hope that something makes a difference. 7y
BooksintheDelta Most of the time hashtags create a divide of what "side" the poster is on. Like we can't all be sad someone has died and look for solutions without taking sides. Hashtag #frustrating. 7y
mrp27 This punched me in the gut, I never looked at it that way. Hashtags are great for awareness but these hashtags need to mean something in the end and make a difference so that the lives lost aren't for naught, and so that there is justice and understanding. 7y

MinDea I think social media is used to bring awareness. Does it bring justice? Sometimes, but not always. 7y
Suelizbeth I thought what she was trying to say is that we need to go beyond hashtags and reach real life solutions. There need to be unbiased investigations and unbiased trials. Also, these hashtag situations shouldn‘t exist in the first place. 7y
ptkpepe98 I live near Charleston, site of two recent infamous shootings: Walter Scott and the Mother Emanuel Church shootings. Justice was swift in the latter case, but the former was only resolved by a federal plea deal based on civil rights violations. The family was satisfied because the guilty admitted responsibility; this was after a 1st trial ended in a hung jury. So justice is hard to get, which is heartbreaking for the families. But # likely help. 7y
ChasingOm I think that hashtags bring awareness, but they also give people an unfounded (IMO) feeling of having DONE something. Hashtags don't create action and actions (protesting, lobbying, running for office on a platform of change) are what can ultimately change things. I see this to a different degree on campaigns (my job) where people think sharing on social media helps a candidate as much as knocking doors & talking to people, but it doesn't. 7y
RebelReader I agree with @ChasingOm in that social media feels like you are doing something, but it certainly has not brought about justice for so many black lives lost. 7y
REPollock Social media amplifies the transformation of people into martyrs via hashtags, but victims' names as shorthand for greater struggles and violence predates the hashtag--Matthew Shepard, Rodney King, Amadou Diallo. Hashtags spread the news faster. Nobody wants to be a hashtag because nobody wants to be a martyr. 7y

Now I'm British. We have a proud tradition of innuendo (see the Great British Bake Off for reference). However what's above is not innuendo, it's just lewd and inappropriate.
The completionist in me is battling against the urge to stop reading this, as I'm finding it so frustrating!

Bailedbailed

I #quit this book after reading 20 pages. I was unable to follow the plot. Most of my reading time was spent figuring out if that sentence is a dialogue or not (due to no quotation marks!) It was really #frustrating and I can't imagine reading over 700 pages having to figure that out. Maybe I will try #audiobook for this. #booksiquit #nopunctuation #disappointedread

I'm sorry to say this, but the repetitions in this book are driving me crazy!
Yes, I know that his attraction to her is distracting him from his work.
Yes, I know that she won't trust him because of some issues.
But do I have to read about it again and again?!
The interesting storyline is the only thing keeping me from bailing already. Now I can see why I waited so long after the first book to read this one!
