Reading the enthrallingbook,The Winthrop Woman. This was a gift I received years ago,from a Litten-I apologize I cannot remember who.
It‘s a wonderful follow up to the book Beheld.The first part recounts Anne Winthrop‘s life in England before she emigrates to Massachusetts Bay Colony In 1631. I am excited about where this book brings me.

My first book by this author. I was entertained by the amateur detective or observer of human nature, Mordecai Tremaine. Although there are definitely personality differences, his talents are reminiscent of Hercule Poirot. It was slow to get into, but a light holiday read.

All we got was rain, and no 60 + mph winds. So so grateful. Other parts of the state are out of power. I hope they get power back soon. Feeling lucky.

Our family book haul. My son & hubby have been learning German & Italian together. Hubby used to speak Italian- it‘s come back for him.They have fun learning together via an inline program.

3 inches heavy rain predicted with winds up to 65 mpr starting midnight and lasting 12 hours,”widespread” Electrical outages.So we are having our Christmas Day quiche Lorraine this morning.Trying to stave off anxiety- my son‘s has skyrocketed.Silver lining: his anxiety is productive- problem solves.(have Christmas menu today, find a hotel with a generator, etc. )Mine just spins.
