Wow. The care that went into writing about something so harrowing is felt throughout the book. Frankie‘s entire journey was so thoughtfully and well written that I could see and feel and smell everything on the page. War is ugly and it ruins people and to read something so raw, it pulls at your soul and makes you feel everything. Book #11 in 2024 (their faces are intentional)
