Excited to announce that our second pick for the Oh Canada Book Club will be The Girls by Lori Lansens - a fictional book about conjoined twins. I flipped a coin because the vote was tied. This book club will run every two months, so this will be the March/April book. Excited to continue the Canadian book journey!

The book was slow-moving but interesting in that it looked at the private lives of those living in this time with various deformities: their personal relationships, and some of the abuses they dealt with. Included was a short afterword by the author

I just finished this and I thought it was a beautiful yet emotional story about 2 sisters. I‘m not used to the writing style but it was pretty good. Maybe I could try more in the future

Really good book, it is a good pick for siblings and anybody in general.
You would think their lives are sad and depressing but, you got to be a conjoined twin to know how you live, and they are not depressed at all. #Sibling love goes a long way.
