Aardvark Book Club's November challenge was a challenge! I only had the vowels e and a to work with. The challenge was to come up with a word stacking Aardvark books and using the first letter of the first word of the title. Each letter was worth a certain number of points. I came up the word watercress for 15 points.

Star in the Jar | Sam Hay

After reading Star in the Jar, students can create their own “star“ by decorating a paper cutout. They will write about something special they love and might struggle to let go of, just like the boy in the story. Then, students will share how letting go can sometimes lead to something beautiful, like the star returning to the sky.

I wouldn‘t use this book in my classroom for a lesson or for fun, some of the pictures may give kids ideas to do at school or at home

Loved this book so much. Reminded me a lot of when my little brother was born
