Meanwhile, at home Mrs. Thornton anxiously awaits his return and is depressed that she will be replaced. She is jealous. When she finds out that Margaret will not have him like any good mother she instantly hates her. John still loves her. They agree not to speak of her again.

She thinks he is not interested and can‘t see how ill he is. Linton does everything he can to convince her he is better. This chapter is pretty full; the Collins‘ are married and have invited Elizabeth to visit (I can‘t wait), Jane finally begins to see Caroline Bingley‘s true colors and finally we see one of Wickham‘s attempts at leeching on to a young impressionable girl for his own gain 🙃
