Araminta Spookie 4: Vampire Brat | Angie Sage, Jimmy Pickering
post image
Pickpick

The 4th instalment in the Araminta Spook series and Minty is introduced to her Uncle Drac's mother, a formidable woman who has the singular power of intimidating Aunt Tabby and her cousins. But Minty and her best friend Wanda have bigger issues with a rogue werewolf stalking the secret passages of Spook house. That is until they realise that cousin Max is a vampire. 3/5 stars.

The Dean Koontz Companion | Edward Gorman, Martin Harry Greenberg

1. Dean Koontz (almost all of them) with Mary Higgins Clark and James Rollins right behind him.
2. 4 (but I need more; I have LOTS of book stacks).
3. By genre with authors grouped together.

Eggs Thanks for joining in 🤗. I like the genre idea! 5y
BeautifullyBookish 1) I would have to say Kelly Elliot I‘ve read all her books so far. Although C.L. Stone is a close second because the academy series are both continuing. 2) I currently have 8 book cases. But that is slightly misleading because 6 of them are small and together don‘t match the size of the other two. 3) I guess my organization style would count as “random”. I like to group my books in “families” relating to their subjects and genres. (edited) 5y

Sorry it‘s not book related, but this is how I‘m spending my Saturday night. Siamese Dream came out 25 years ago this weekend. Anyone else feeling old af right now?

The commentary is a bit dry, but it‘s very comprehensive. I‘m enjoying it so far and it‘s making me listen to a lot of Stone Roses :) #britpop #oasis #stoneroses #blur #suede #music #alternative #nonfiction #retrospective #currentlyreading

Loving this #alternative version of P&P! It definitely has me laughing out-loud and balances nicely with #lonedove and #blindassassinbuddyread 🙆🏻

I‘m a proponent of #alternative energy sources but I‘m using this book to highlight a couple of reading format #alternatives - audiobooks and @SerialReader - I recommend both. I like audiobooks when I‘m doing things like chores and the Serial Reader app is a great way to read the classics in short chunks. Now you can‘t say you‘re too busy to read! #30daysofreadathon

My interpretation of today's theme might be a little off but I couldn't help showing off the beautiful new 10th anniversary edition of #thenameofthewind. The new cover and surprise details are gorgeous! Totally worth the 40$ splurge🖤❤️🖤

A few I hope to get to during October.
Books 📚 = my #alternative to TV 📺 #30daysofreadathon

Full disclosure: This has NOT always been the case. But active toddler led to us paying for cable we were hardly using, so we cancelled it. Now I realize I can read more, I don‘t miss it :) And we do watch some cartoons with little man on DVD/Netflix

Now here's an #Alternative history that I've been meaning to get to for quite some time.
But due to it's heft, I'll most likely be listening to the audio version. 🤓🎧

[Continuously trying to resist NOT watching the TV adaptation staring James Franco!🙊]

Sidenote: I'm digging these new 'effects' available on Litsy. This one is called 'Paper'. 😎

emilyhaldi Great book choice! 7y
