I‘m trying so hard to like hot tea… it tastes like hot dirt 😳 any suggestions?! 🫖 I‘ve heard that peppermint tea has lots of good health benefits so I tried it, but I‘m not in love with it 🤷♀️
Soubhiville It‘s not for everyone. I love it and find herbal teas relaxing, my husband hates anything but black tea. 3y
RaeLovesToRead Hahaha ? Oh dear, I love tea! I found some sweet ones the other day in flavours like "gingerbread chai" and they were nice with oat milk. Didn't taste too much like tea so might be a good place to start! 3y
Clwojick I was the same! I used to loathe it! In the past few years I‘ve found some I like more than others, but they have to be super flavourful for me to love them. Personally, black teas need a touch of milk and sugar/sweetener added to them, and herbals either plain or with a little sugar…. But I always leave the tea bag in to add as much flavour as possible. Some of my favourites are the Tim Hortons Pumpkin Spice, Earl Grey, 3y

ravenlee There are so many varieties, it can take a while to find what you like. I grew up on black teas, but when I had to give up caffeine I switched to mostly herbals and there was a LOT of trial and error. Celestial Seasonings and Twinings, and I think Bigelow, have samplers. You can also order a sampler from the Republic of Tea, but you can pick which teas to include (from a list of most but not all their offerings). 3y
kplovesbooks I feel you!! I can't do hot tea either!! Hot dirt is about right!! 3y
ravenlee I‘ve learned I don‘t like rooibos, green tea tastes like grass, white tea can be nice; I like hibiscus teas and berry blends, ginger and/or peppermint blends can be good too. I wish you luck in your search! 3y
Clwojick Celestial brand mandarin orange, wild berry, or raspberry zinger. And tazo wild sweet orange. I‘ve yet to find a white or green tea that I like. They‘re too floral or earthy for me. Keep trying and I‘m sure you‘ll eventually find something that works for you. 3y
Nutmegnc Have any of you seen Ted Lasso??if you know, you know. 🤣🤪 3y
Kangaj1 I really love Good Earth Sweet and Spicy, and I always leave in the tea bag and don't have to add anything. I also love the fruity teas from Stash - with a splash of milk. I don't like the "tea" flavor, but these are so good! 3y
JamieArc I think of it like coffee or wine, as an acquired taste. I had a good friend whose mom was Scottish and she would make it with milk ans sugar, so I started off drinking earl grey with sugar and flavored creamers. It took awhile for me to like just plain tea without milk and sugar. 3y
MoonWitch94 Try Twinnings “Cheerful Peppermint”. It‘s a vanilla peppermint that I like better than plain or peppermint. Yea is tough, but I‘m trying to get more into it. And each company is different, too. Try adding honey. 3y
Nutmegnc Also my new favorite is Harney and Sons Paris tea— best tea I‘ve ever had. My other favs are Uncle Lee‘s Organic White or Chun Mee Chinese green tea. #alittlebitobsessedabouttea (edited) 3y
FantasyChick I've never understood tea. I want to be a tea drinker. I really do but no matter what I try, it still tastes horrible. What am j doing wrong? 🤣 3y
TEArificbooks I highly recommend loose leaf tea. They mix the tea ingredients in a giant container. The loose leaf tea is the whole leaves and ingredients. The tea bag tea is smashed up crumbs on the bottom of the container. Therefore The loose leaf tea has better flavor. Rooibos, herbal blends, and chai are my favorites. Black teas can almost be like coffee and some have more caffeine so those you can add sugar milk lemon etc. 3y
Leftcoastzen I posted you one & the good earth ones I remember them being very flavorful.Don‘t have any right now. 3y
TEArificbooks The difference between green tea, white tea, black tea is how the leaves are prepared. Some herbal blends don‘t even have tea leaves. If you like your coffee strong and black go with a breakfast tea. If you like you coffee with a ton of sugar and creamer go with a herbal. 3y
TEArificbooks Also your sense of smell is very closely connected to you sense of taste. If you like the smell of the tea you will probably like the taste. You may have to add sugar or honey to get the taste to your liking, but smell it first. If you go to a loose leaf tea store they can really help you and try a few different kinds. There is a book for everyone to turn them into a reader, there is a tea that will make you a tea drinker. 3y
TEArificbooks Water temperature can also be important when making tea. Green tea, especially, can be sensitive and if the water is boiling it will burn the leaves and ruin it. Some tea you need hot water but below boiling. Seeping time can also be different. Drink it too soon or too late it is tastes bad. You really just have do some trial and error. Try a variety of tea, follow the instructions, try a variety of add ins. You will find your favorite tea. 3y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @mdm139 thank you Melanie! I don‘t like coffee so it‘s going to be a challenge, but I really want to find some tea that I love ❤️ 3y
aroc I adore hot tea! Sending you samples 🥰 3y
TEArificbooks @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks I despise coffee. I hate the taste. I hate the smell. But I love tea and have become a tea snob. I will not drink tea bag tea. There is a huge difference in flavor. The tea that made me a tea drinker was Citrus Mint tea from a Etsy shop called BeauTea Studios. All their flavors are good, but that is one that converted me to loose leaf. Their Lemon infusion tea is also favorite. I also love DavidsTea from Canada. 3y
TEArificbooks @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks wish we lived closer. I would invite you over to try so many different ones until we find you favorite. Have a grown up tea party. 3y
LeahBergen Try Candy Cane Lane by Celestial Teas. You might like that one if you want to try peppermint. 3y
LeahBergen Oh, and add sugar or a sweetener to black teas so they taste more like your usual “sweet tea”. 😄 3y
BookBabe That‘s a darling teapot set! 😍 What‘s your email? I probably have over 20 kinds, I can send you some to try! ☺️ 3y
Susanita I had “Paris” flavor at a tea house a few years ago and really liked it. There‘s a hint of citrus that‘s not overpowering. Several companies have a version of it. 3y
LiseWorks Since I'm a tea drinker I thought you're so funny but fruit teas are always good. Maybe you make them too strong? Love that tea pot! 3y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @BookBabe awesome!! And thank you! It‘s from @ElizaMarie ❤️ it‘s loverofbooks75@gmail. Com 💞thank you! 3y

sharread 🤣🤣❤ Like dirt, we must have the exact taste pallet. I've become accustomed to tea but my favorite is Lavender tea, Earl Grey, and Assam tea. I've heard RED Rose has the best flavors. 3y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @sharread seriously!! I will try those! Thank you 🫖💕 3y
