- Not a bad week... Some moving James Baldwin, a sad short story and a very British rom-com of sorts ( i.e. less romance, more friendship and community which felt good right now!)

- Just started Lily & the Octopus and I don‘t need a 🔮to see some #uglycrying in my future! 😭 I love how Lily seems to YELL! EVERYTHING! EXCITEDLY!

- Hoping for ‘Exciting Times‘ to bring the Sally Rooney vibes I‘m looking for.... 🤞

This book made me ugly cry on the train home, thank goodness for sunglasses. Spoiler comment added in case you need to check what you might face when reading this; it won't spoil the book.

This is a heart racing apocalyptic horror, it's sooo good.

I no longer have a heart because it is lying broken on the pages of this beautiful book. I feel sorry for people who dismiss YA as fluff or superficial, because they have robbed themselves of experiencing books like this one, that are raw and emotional and life changing. #ya #librarian #uglycrying.
