I can't tell you how many times I've heard Stephen King reference this book in his novels, so I'm giving it a shot for myself.

Fun fact about me: I have to listen to audiobooks sped up a little because I feel they read.so.sloooowlyyyy otherwise, and then I lose focus and stop paying attention. Maybe it's just me? Maybe it's ADHD. Either way, I find 1.25 works best for me. ⏭️

marleed Oh Tell the wolves I‘m sorry is one of my favorite books. Last year a book came out in this time period that gave me TTWIH feels - in case you end up loving as much as I did.

DivaDiane I have not been disavowed of my understanding that I am a slow reader. 4% slower than the national average (the second time I took the test - the first time 12% slower!!). I‘m not too bothered my retention is good, which helped in college. I only needed to read texts once, where my fellows read everything multiple times. (edited) 7y

4ravens @BarbaraTheBibliophage I did a speed reading course many years ago, where they also tested retention rate - very useful for studying, not so helpful when reading for pleasure. 7y

This was kind of fun, curious how accurate it is. I know I can be a quick reader when I actually have time to sit and read (which is usually just on the train to and from work) but it really depends on the book for me. If I'm reading a #chunkster with lots of names, places, and things happening I tend to read slower.

What's your score? Do you think it's a true representative of your reading style?

Amazing prose, wonderful sad story. Half angry, half sad, will take a while to get this story out of my brain.

Coleen_Nieto @Andrew65 Yes! Vanessa Redgrave plays the main character, Eric Banaugh is the doctor, Maura Rooney pays the young Rose. They left a lot out, of course, but i liked it. I found it on Amazon video. 7y
