I loved the idea behind this story. Loved Addie. Loved the writing style. If it hadn't bogged a little bit in the middle - 3/4ths section, it would have been a 5 star read. As it is, it was still a terrific book.

so-soThere are 15 stories by 15 different authors in this anthology. I expected at least some of them to feature Sookie, but she was only briefly in one of them. Of the lot, 3 of them were moderately enjoyable. The remaining 12 varied from so-so to pointless filler. A waste of an audible credit. ☹

Eh, maybe it's because I hadn't read Practical Magic. But I struggled to care about any of the people in this book. It wasn't bad. But it wasn't great either.

The first character that came to mind for #ScreamQueen was Kaylee Cavanaugh, a Banshee!
When Kaylee screams (not something she is able to control) someone dies.
An interesting take on the traditional idea of Banshees 🙂

#Characters2017 #screamqueen Rosemary Woodhouse from Ira Levin's Rosemary's Baby came to mind first as a scream queen-especially as she was so well-played in the film adaptation by Mia Farrow. No spoilers if you haven't yet read the book or seen the movie, but her husband & neighbors certainly gave her something to scream about! I've mentioned before that I 'borrowed' this book from my parent's shelf at about 10 & saw the movie not long after.😱😱
